    You just bought a $1000 lens for your $2000 dollar camera. One tiny little scratch and the lens is ruined. This UV filter is just what professionals want to protect their lenses without losing quality in their pictures. I've compared pictures I've taken with and without this UV filter and can tell no difference between the photos. But the peace of mind I have knowing my lens is protected from scratches is a small price to pay for such an affordable filter.

    I felt the filter was good. I dropped the lens while it was in the bag from a regular table and it broke. At least it did not damage the lens.
