Having recently purchased the HP Laptop 15-fd0127dx from Best Buy, my experience has been a mix of functionality and a touch of disappointment. My primary reason for this purchase was to replace my previous HP Envy x360, which unfortunately malfunctioned. While I hoped for a comparable quality level, it's clear that this model operates in a different league. What I Like (The Functional Aspects): * Solid Performance for Everyday Tasks: Equipped with the 13th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, this laptop handles my daily computing needs quite well. Browse, document editing, and light multitasking are smooth and responsive. The 512GB SSD ensures quick boot-up times and application loading. * Clear Touchscreen Display: The 15.6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen is bright enough for indoor use and offers good clarity. The touch functionality is responsive and convenient for quick interactions. * Decent Port Selection (with caveats): It offers a good array of USB-A and HDMI ports for connecting peripherals, which is essential for my workflow. * Privacy Shutter for Webcam: The inclusion of a physical privacy shutter for the 720p webcam is a welcome feature, providing peace of mind. Areas Where It Falls Short (The "Quality Gap"): * Build Quality and Materials: This is perhaps the most noticeable difference compared to my previous Envy x360. So far I really like this laptop, its light and easy to use, wish the battery life was a little longer but I don’t sit on the computer for very long so works for me, getting used to the touch screen but its fast and does what I need.

I purchased two of these laptops, one for each grandson. The setup was step-by-step and easy to follow. The screen images are clear and crisp, the speed of processing is fast, and it is light weight. I would consider purchasing another one if needed.

A good cost-effective computer. Boughtit on sale. Has a i7 processor, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Can handle practically all tasks. Smooth keyboard and sensitive touchpad. Easy to install, had it ready in half an hour. Also the screen colors are easy on the eye.

I love my new conputer. I was surprised of the processor speed it has, the touch screen features and overall performance is great. Easy to use. I wish the screen was a little bigger but it works great.

The performance is great, it's lightweight enough to carry around campus, and the battery life lasts him through classes and study sessions. He’s also really excited about all the perks that came with the purchase they’ve added even more value to an already solid buy. Overall, we're both very happy with this laptop and would definitely recommend it to other students!

Bought 2 of these for my twins for college. Excellent screen display. Fast processor as it loads things quickly. They are able to do all their homework, stream & watch movies on it and play music as well. They are able to to look at their class schedules as well as it having a touchscreen to make it super easy to do things on it. This is an excellent computer and everything they need to start their first year at college with! Battery life is long lasting as well.

This is a great computer for the price. There are others in a higher price range, but I went with this one as I took advantage of the Labor Day sale. I use it for work, and I have to say, I got my monies worth. The computer has great image resolution and speed. It has all I need to be able to operate. It also has a slim build and design which looks good to the eye. It is slim and not bulky, all around a good buy. I would highly recommend it.

Great computer. Has all the features that I need. Light weight so it's easy to carry. Camera has great quality as does the microphone. Can open several tabs and the speed does not become slower. So far, no complaints.

My old HP laptop had a hard disk drive failure, and rather than troubleshoot, I decided to treat myself to a new laptop. HP has been a reliable brand for me, so I stayed with them for this purchase. It's a great laptop, perfect size to take to coffee shops for writing sessions. Keyboard lights up, power button is integrated into the keyboard, which surprised me at first but I am used to it now. I don't need heavy processing power, so this laptop is perfect for creative writing, emails, videos, streaming, etc.

I recently upgraded my 10-yr old HP laptop computer with a new one - also by HP (of course). I've just had terrific luck with the HP brand, and the new one does not disappoint. It has been easy to set up and transfer all my old data and runs like a charm, along with being significantly lighter. I'm very pleased with this new model and expect many years of use from it.

The laptop itself is nice, fast for what I need it for. The specs have a discrepancy in the listing that state there is a backlit keyboard — there is not. Outside of that — it does what it needs to. Very lightweight. Runs hot when it’s busy.
