I don't exactly like Windows 10.
Ther are some things I don't like about the software that is loaded on it .
After I get it the way I want it I would purchase another one.

What a great value we got on this laptop. It was bought as a gift for someone who needed to access webinars (streaming media), work in Office (desktop version as well as Office365) and do some video editing for YouTube, etc. With the i5 processor and RAM included, it's perfect for this type of usage. It has an optical drive which not only reads, but writes -- so that's a big plus for doing presentations they want to share with others. The only downside that we see is it's not a metal chassis/body. At this price point we really didn't expect it, but it's worth calling out. For the intended use it will be gently used, so the plastic is totally fine. If you're a power/heavy user it might not be...

I purchased this looking for a portable computer used only for college. it's not meant for gaming in any serious capacity out of the box and only has 4 gb of ram. however it is intel 5th gen i5 dual core processor and I figured I could at least upgrade the ram to 8 gb.
the youtube review online said it's not eligible to upgrade ram due to only having one internal memory slot but I pleasantly found out that this was is incorrect and ordered two ram modules on amazon Kingston HyperX Impact Black 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L CL9 SODIMM 1.35V Laptop Memory (HX316LS9IB/8) at 39.98 a piece for a grand total of 80 bucks. I now have a fairly decent computer for a total spending between the computer and ram of 450.00. It plays non-heavy computer games like heroes of the storm and hearthstone with no issue.
Overall, I would purchase again.

The laptop is well built, nice display, great processor, but the 4 GBs of RAM is soldered into the board and there's no way to expand it. I returned it after running tests with various video streaming and game services. This would be a perfect laptop for a student or someone who occasionally multi-tasks but not as a full desktop replacement system.

I am very pleased with this computer. It was fairly easy to set up and the speed is consistently fast compared to other dual-core processors I've had in the past. I like the lightweight feel of this laptop and I am pleasantly pleased with Windows 10. The only thing that has been a bit of an issue is the default settings for the web browser and McAfee anti-virus. I would prefer to use just the Windows Defender. Nonetheless, I have decided to give it a whirl for the full duration of the trial. I bought a mouse to go with this computer and the installation was seamless. I recommend this computer especially at the 299.00 price I was able to purchase.

For the price, this is a really fast and functional laptop. I have yet to see any issues with it since my purchase date of 3/1/16. I use it primarily for my graduate studies, web research, presentations, MS Office, video chat, email, photo sharing & editing, and social networking. However, my daughter has played a few games on it also. It has worked great for all!

First, I had a laptop that still had Vista, so it has been some time since I purchased a laptop. I am not crazy about Windows 10, but that is because I hate change. I found this on a deal of the day, so for under $300 for an i5, I was very surprised and pleased. The computer is fast and has more than enough memory for us, we only use it for surfing the internet. The only real thing I would like to see, is the keyboard a little larger. It has 10 key on the side, and we really don't need that. That is the only reason I am not giving this a 5..

I bought this laptop for my son for college. He has a very nice desktop machine so I was looking for a laptop that would suffice for homework but wouldn't break the bank. When I told him it only had 4 mg of memory he said "that won't run anything" but I bought it anyway because it was an i5 and I figured it would run Office and the apps he needed to get his school work done. When I asked him the other day how it was working out he said "it's great!" So evidently mama does know what's best. :) I haven't personally used the computer aside from a quick startup and virus software install so I can't give much detail on the specifics but the keyboard felt good as well as the touchpad (and I don't like touchpads). It also has a number keypad which he wanted. The only negative I had was that you couldn't upgrade the memory so we were stuck with 4 mg. But like I said, that seems to be working out fine and he hasn't had a problem with it. Really good computer for the money. (I did buy this on sale as one of the Deal of the Day items.)

I have owned this computer going on three months now. Thus far it has been able to handle playing Rome II: Total War and Company of Heroes 2 (on reduced settings) surprisingly well.
Pros: I mainly bought this laptop for using the internet, movies and music. But it has surpassed my expectations for playing computer games. It's a lightweight, fast booting computer, with decent battery life.
Cons: It's a cheap laptop with 4 GB of RAM. Don't expect this computer to do more than what you paid for it. And you won't be disappointed. Will I be playing Fallout 4 on this rig? Absolutely not.
Also, the touchpad is pretty sensitive. If you are typing fast or nudge the touchpad with your thumb, you might suddenly be looking at a magnified or reduced screen.
Overall, it's a great laptop for a low priced computer.

Lightening fast out of the box, the i5 processor is quite the upgrade from my old Celeron! Super easy set up, even with learning Windows 10 along the way. The only issue I still have has to do with Windows 10 not syncing with my Gmail. Seems lots of folks are having that problem also. Love the sleek design and non-fingerprint surfaces inside and out. Great laptop!

I got this I-5 Laptop for the price of an I-3. A real steal! It's dependable and fast enough for most games. Large hard drive and great screen. You can't go wrong with this laptop. Especially for the price!

This computer was purchased for someone else. I performed an upgrade using a 120GB solid-state drive. With the SSD installed, it is so fast that you don't wait for anything to load at all. If it had the original hard drive, performance would still have been quite good, just slower. HP has made some cheap junky laptops in the past, but this is definitely not one of them.

My husband needed a new computer for work. He is an auto tech and needs a computer to run software to diagnose vehicles for repair and maintenance. We didn't want to spend a lot of money but did need something that would operate well and have the specs to handle the dealer software. He has only been using it a few days, but so far it is operating well.

This HP 15.6" Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 4GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive Black 15-ac151dx works fine, but it is very touchy. It constantly re-sizes the screen as I type, making the writing smaller and smaller. At least there is a quick fix of going to the magnifying glass on the search bar and choosing reset to default. Still annoying! It is much slower than I expected for the capacity of RAM that it has. Most likely human error on my part and a not so great internet connection, but these issues sometimes really make me hate this purchase because it is so frustrating. The screen size is nice, resolution is clear. The product comes with a trial version of MS 365 and a temporary antivirus subscription, which is nice and allow you the time to get the permanent versions if you wish. This HP computer did sync with my modem and internet easily and the whole set up of the computer is extremely easy. It comes with a variety of solitary card games which I greatly enjoy. For the price, not a bad computer overall.

I have been using this item for around a month. It's value for money. Kinda slow but not so much to annoy you. System configuration is decent. If you are not willing spend more than $450 then it's could be a nice option.

I bought this for my wife. So far performing as expected without any glitches. She complained of the mouse but on my test seems to be working fine. Will need to put it through the paces and make sure.
