Laptop is great for general household task, a good bargain.

This is a great laptop with great specs and a great price!

Boots up fast and I can even use my older printer with it.

Needed a laptop for work. It gets the job done. USB ports act up sometimes when my portable monitor is plugged in, but not often enough to really be an issue. Probably the AOC monitor's fault and not the computers'.

I was hoping to replace my old pc with a new updated one. This computer is louder than expected and not as light as I was led to believe.

I would not recommend this computer. I purchased this based on geek squad recommendation. Less than one year after purchase the battery started going bad. Now just at two years there is a problem with the hard drive. The top of the computer screen pops out also. I know electronics do not last long, but this computer is not worth the money.

It would have been a great computer if it didn’t crash several times.

I bought one and the laptop wouldn't charge. Nothing wrong with the charger, but laptop would not charge. Bought a second one that froze 5 times on the first day used and continues to freeze daily. Needs to be restarted to unfreeze. Waiting on a third and hopefully the charm, but really unhappy.

The SSD drive starting glitching in a couple of months and then crashed after months of purchase.

Touch pad too sensitive. I don't even touch and window are bounding around

Worst laptop. It does not work on 5G wifi internet.

the previous review regarding the laptop having a single band vs dual band wireless adapter is correct (it will NOT connect to a 5ghz network). This is extremely upsetting considering the other specifications of the laptop are top notch. The ONLY solution you have is to get a USB wifi adapter that handles 5ghz. Way to screw up a good thing HP. I will be reluctantly keeping it, as this is only a home computer. I have a USB wifi adapter in case i need more bandwidth. I guess HP isn't what it used to be. My 6 year old lenovo has a dual band adapter...food for thought.

This laptop is able to fulfill most of my basic computing needs and runs very fast. Perfect for the price too

This is a long-lasting Laptop. I have had it for over Seven years.

Beware- The specs for this laptop are not what you get. Weak network performance led me to investigate the network specs. The network card installed is a Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo not the Wireless-AC (433 Mbps) listed in the specs. The HP website also shows that the 802.11b/g/n is the card installed for this model. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06265182 I am returning it for this reason.

Not that impressed so far.. I wanted a replacement for my old HP that I loved. My requirements were HP, DVD drive, SSD, and intel so I choose this laptop. my older less expensive HP had all those but had a Hard Drive and I feel it out performed this. This laptop is loud and slow when loading. iTunes actually crashed, and photos is always slow to load/import, etc. I use this for school, music, and casually. It does start up fast and is average performance wise. Another Con is Word is not included you have to pay when it used to be a standard but I think that's with all new laptops. The case stretches EASILY and came with a scratch. These things should be for laptops in the under 500 dollar range not at this price point. I would return it but I missed the return policy by 10 days.
