I've been using this laptop for a couple of months now and have been pleasantly surprised at how well it handles everything. I use it to work from home and haven't had any big problems with opening word docs that are a couple hundred pages long, or PDFs for that matter. The larger screen is nice and image quality is very good. I use a separate keyboard because I like to feel the keys more than you can on the laptop - just a preference. I could use one more USB port, but there are three or four, so probably I just need to get a little tower thing. Overall, happy with my purchase!

I bought this laptop to replace my Lenovo G70 that crapped out on me with a failed hard drive. I saw this unit at Best Buy saw the price was good and it had all the features I needed. I am glad I bought it as it is fast and the screen is the size I prefer. Old eyes need big screens.

The cord on my current laptop wasn't charging so I brought it in to Best Buy to get a new one. I made the geek squad open it and insert into the laptop to make sure the cord was the problem. It was not the cord because the new one didn't work either. I purchased this laptop because I liked the large screen because I do digital scrapbooking and like the wide space. I neglected to ask the right questions because the coronavirus was starting to affect store openings and I wanted to get the transaction over because the store was going to close. There was no Windows 10 on this laptop! I never thought it wasn't standard. Also I had to transfer all info because Geek Squad wasn't doing that because of the pandemic. I am still struggling at home to transfer all info.

Replaced an older Asus which was much slower than this but the same CPU, different generation. I’ve had several HP laptops at work and their always solid machines. This one is larger in size then my older ones but I use it to replace my desktop at home and the large screen is nice.

The laptop is great. The Microsoft software is another story: It auto-loaded Windows 10 & Edge, which is horrible. It took days to load the browser I prefer. (had to pay for an app from the Microsoft store to get rid of it.) It caused problems because I wouldn't change my email account. It took a week to my browser, email and Google account set up correctly. I am now having problems with my McAfee account Microsoft is the problem - not my new computer. I would purchase my hardware from Best Buy but should have questioned the software included.

Very pleased with this purchase. Very easy to use, easy to connect my printer and accessories. A lot faster then my old laptop because of the solid state drive. Great price !

Bought this laptop in 2020. Hardly ever used it until last year (2022). Immediately noticed that the right corner side where it folds to close felt difficult when closing. Almost like a stuck feeling. But I didnt think too much of it and continued using. Yesterday 8/3/23 the right hinge actually broke when closing and the laptop lifts when attempting to close and open. It took 1 year of daily use for the hinge to break. This sucks because the warranty is only good for 1 year. The laptop was never dropped or anything on my part. The hinges are just cheaply made and will break with daily use of the laptop.

We purchased this laptop to replace an older HP. The size 17.3" is amazing and very clear and sharp. The system is big enough to play many different games. We got this laptop on Black Friday sale. For the sale price, it was an excellent deal. Glad we got it.

Excellent computer. Fast. Easy to set up. Was hesitant on buying another HP as the last one wasn't particularly great, but this unit was on sale with plenty of speed. Ended up a great purchase. Highly recommend.

Love my new laptop, easy to get atarted, love the bigger screen. I found online, only had 1 left, and was lucky enough to get to store and purchase before another person got there. While I, was checking out anirher couple came looking for exact one.

Just getting familiar with our new laptop but can say that we absolutely love it. Everything on it is working perfectly and the large screen size is beneficial. Using it more everyday.

Bought as a gift for someone who uses it just as a home computer. Got it discounted (returned item) for ~$500, and I think it's worth it for what's in the laptop. Screen is large, clear, and can get bright enough (for someone with eyesight issues).

Love the larger sized screen. We have paired this laptop with another monitor for working at home. Easy to set up and navigate. Runs smoothly. We have had no issues with it. Pleased with price and purchase.

Yes, we've only had this HP 17.3" laptop for two weeks but, right off the bat, it was clear we made the correct choice. Everything about it fits all our needs. We're older adults and our eyesight isn't what it was decades ago and the 17.3" screen is just right and the quality of the images; superb. The machine is hefty but light enough to go with us wherever we go and we much prefer the black keyboard...and we also much prefer the lack of Touch Screen. Good riddance, Touch Screen. The solid state HD is swift; it boots up in about one second. The laptop was purchased as an emergency backup for our two Dell tower desktops but it is, on its own, rapidily developing its own separate priorities for us and its own friendly and useful personality. We chose well when we purchased this model. Highly recommended.

I am liking this laptop but I am not in love with it. I got it for a good price but I wished I had could have waited until I found one that I love. I had a gift card that was about to run out so that is the main reason I got it. I love the size because I like the large screen. I like Windows 10 and all the things it can do. The color is fine but I wish it had a lighted keyboard. I wish it had more memory but I think I can upgrade that myself. I do like that it came with a DVD player. I am glad it came with a gig network port. I have found the fan can be a little loud but it doesn't come on often. I love the speed at which it boots up which comes from the fact is has an 250 gig SSD hard drive. This is a good laptop and when you are able to get it as an Open Box and use your gift card and reward points it makes it good enough.

We've had this laptop for 6 months now and love it. Large 17.3" screen and a solid state drive for fast boots. It's more expensive than a lot of laptops on the market but well worth it for the large screen, SSD and i5 processor.

I just needed a basic computer to perform my daily needs. No gaming or professional things installed. It meets my expectations in that sense. However, this product is FALSELY advertised. If you scroll through the pics on the product page, it shows “touchscreen” which it does not have. So if they do not remove that, don’t be surprised when you get home. If you actually read the specs, it does say that there’s no touchscreen. So just be aware.

My aunt needed a new laptop. I wanted something with a large screen and not too expensive as it won't get heavy use. This fit the bill, came in under 600 with a bluetooth keyboard.

All I could want and more. Really like the large screen. I do a lot of volunteer work and easy to use and see what I am doing. Light weight; easy to transport to meetings.

Prefer my old Toshiba. Keyboard does not light up which means you dont know if num lock is on. Prefer windows 7 over 10. Like the large screen but plain black, would have been nice to offer with silver as well. It works fine
