For the most part this ink last a while. I use my printer to print out important documents, crafts for my kids, and I print out piñata face templates for decorating and crafting.

Been purchasing this HP toner for the life of two printers by HP so it is reasonable to figure their toner will work in their own products, which has never failed to do so. Only like the XL because the volume of printing needing done as well as the quality of the print. Even when I do not have time to run the printer's setup page, I get the same good quality as well as on any type of paper I purchase to print upon! QUALITY MEANS EVERYTHING TO TONER PRODUCTS BY HP.

The HP black ink cartridge seems to be working smoothly. I ordered this on line from another store and it ran out of ink the next day? I did not have this problem when I went to Best Buy and selected it from their stock! Glad I did.
