Q: what does the XL mean? I just got a new Envy printer; will this cartridge fit?
A: It has more ink in it and will last longer. It is actually a better value too. I can't remember the ratio, but an example would be if you paid twice as much as the regular ink but got 3 times more ink. The only issue would be if you don't print very often. An ink cartridge can dry out before it is empty, but your use would have to be extremely low for that to happen. I'm retired and don't print much. Occasionally, I'll print something out, but I can go a month without printing sometimes. I haven't had one dry out.
