I’ve been looking for a new home PC to replace my aging HP desktop. I considered both laptops and desktops in my search for a new computer. Considerations that led me to the HP Envy Desktop was the Intel Core I7, 16GB of memory, 1 TB SSD, and sufficient amount of USB ports. This PC boots up quickly and is extremely fast. I am very happy with my purchase.

Let me start of by saying I use HP products almost exclusively; work laptop, home printer and not this beauty! I love almost everything about this PC, it is blazing fast ... but for the life of me I cannot understand one design ... all 4 USB port on the back of the PC are USB 2.0 ... the 4 USB ports on the front of the PC are USB 3.0 (plus a type C on the front). WHY? I have an external HB and external SSD that are both USB 3.0, so to get the best speed they must be connected to the front of the PC. I just don't understand that. Hopefully I'll be able to install a USB 3.0 card but for the purchase price, I shouldn't need to do that. Just a bad design in my opinion. That being said, it performs flawlessly and would purchase again.

I bought my “open box” new HP Envy desktop computer about three weeks ago to replace my 12 year-old Gateway—what a difference! The solid state drive makes everything faster. It has the standard HP graphics card and for my purposes that’s been fine. I’m still learning Windows 11, and having the “Start” in the middle of the screen is taking some getting used to after 25 years in the lower left corner, but everything works well together and I’ll figure it out. I’ve received outstanding support from the Geek Squad and Microsoft through my transition to the new machine. I haven’t had an issue requiring a call to HP so far. If you are used to a heavy tower computer, this isn’t it! About thirteen pounds and a third the size of the Gateway. The wireless keyboard and mouse that come with the Envy are very good, but the keyboard is similar to typing on a laptop and seems small. I did buy a DVD burner/player because I have too many disks of music and movies to let go. I plugged my many years old speakers into the jack and they sound better then ever. I have a lot more to learn, but that’s more software issues than the computer. I’m happy with this purchase—more so every day.

This is a state-of-the art computer from Hewlett-Packard. I couldn’t upgrade my old computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11, so I purchased this one. I matched it with a 27 inch Hewlett-Packard monitor. They work together flawlessly.

I'm a month in with this desktop and Iam so impressed with the speed. I jump from website to website with ease and work is a breeze. Also, with the SSD hard-drive it is quiet as a mouse. Very nice computer. I replaced an eleven-year-old HP. Should have done this years ago.

The computer boots up very fast. USB ports are conveniently located on the front of the unit. The power button is small and not always easy to initiate. The lack of a disk drive is a minor issue as one is available for a nominal cost. Overall am very pleased with the performance of the unit. Plenty of memory and fast operaions.

I like the computer -- it works well and is fast. I'm not enthusiastic about Windows 11 but am figuring it out. The picture seems to suggest that an optical reader/writer can be added, but that is not the case with mine. I have to buy an external drive. The TotalTech people were very helpful -- I'm glad I have it.

Fast and quiet. The smaller footprint fits neatly on my desk.

I recently had to replace my 11 year old desktop computer and found the house envy at Best Buy. The ssd hard drive and the quick start up time we’re really the deciding factor for me. I did add a portable cd/dvd read /write device as I still have need of burning CDs and reading them for music-overall, I’m very happy with my purchase!

We're extremely happy with our new PC. it's very fast and easy to use. My wife doesn't like new things but this exceeded both our expectations. It easily integrated all our old programs and works well with our new applications.

Great computer..the power button poorly engineered as it is flat and hard to press on

Need a new desk top computer. This computer is very fast and what I really like about it is small and I can fit it in smaller places. Not Big and bulky like old 16 year computer was.

Compared to my 8 year old HP Envy tower, this machine is a monster! It fires up in 12 SECONDS! (compared to the old one's 3-5 Minutes!) The graphics are top of the line, and the sound can be pumped up to 2channels, 16 bit, 192,000 HZ (studio Quality)-the music grew in detail with higher highs and lower lows-my subwoofer adds depth now that was never tapped before. (don't know why it wouldn't output 5.1, though.) Surfing the net means instantaneous page turning. The included WIRELESS mouse and keyboard are a delight to use. I am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it.

Quite easy to set up, especially if you have a Microsoft account. All office apps and websites from ms edge loaded automatically! Fantastic quick set up process! Machine has plenty of firepower for business apps!
