Do you check email, surf the web, light gaming perhaps? Maybe you watch Netflix or listen to music on your PC? This is the perfect computer for you. It's fast, easy to set up, and has plenty of everything you will need for years to come. I have used HP PC's since the 1990's...extremely reliable.

The unit I received was NOT new and had someone's personal info & pictures on the desktop and had additional software installed. In addition, data from my hard drive, containing private data, was to be migrated to the new desktop. I can only wonder where my data now resides if it was, indeed actually copied to another system.
I have not, as yet, received a return call from Best Buy - Milpitas.

This computer is amazing!!, I needed a PC for gaming, video editing, movie watching,DVD burning, and different types of multimedia editing software and this pc can handle all. I didn't read other reviews as I wanted it to experience it for myself first, I would definitely recommend this for office use or heavy pc gamers.

Good Computer for Working with Graphics

The HP750-124 - Envy Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 2TB Hard Drive computer is an excellent choice for those who want to edit digital images and videos, surf the Internet, view videos, use word processors, build spreadsheets, and create graphic presentations. It is fast, and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 "card" is more than adequate to do jobs using programs such as Photoshop Elements and Premier Elements. It also works well for "simple" games, such as those available on Microsoft's App Store. However, high-speed internet gaming requires a more "advanced" graphic card to perform to their requirements. Many of the reviews panning this computer's graphics capabilities seem to be from competitive gamers who were expecting it to perform like a $1200-$1700 computer. If competitive gaming is your thing, then this is probably not the computer for you.
My 4-star rating rather than a 5-star rating is based on the problems that I had during the first week after I installed the computer. Some of these problems may have been due to the poor documentation provided in print and online by HP for the computer, and Microsoft for Windows 10. The problems that I encountered included lack of recognition of some peripherals (e.g., old scanner, new external hard drive) as well as some of the USB ports, and the failure of Windows 10 updates to be downloaded and installed properly. Fortunately, I subscribed to the reasonably-priced Geek Squad service, and their agents were able to straighten out all the problems.
I have been using the HP750-124 daily for 6 weeks now and have not had any further problems. In addition to writing and answering emails, I have edited and organized several hundred digital photographs, designed a logo for a display, and edited several dozen video clips that I made into a 43-minute movie (using Adobe Premiere Elements 14).
In summary, I do not think that you could find a better performing computer for the price of the HP750 Envy.

Great Desktop Computer, but bad keyboard and mice

I loved the computer. It had great storage space, clear display, and work really fast. The only thing I find annoying is the mouse and keyboard. It might be due to the wireless feature, but it connection suck. It worked great, when it working, but other time it movement took a while to load. Typing, sometime lagged, or it just refused to type at all. I had to change the keyboard and mice, but now it working even better.

Very happy with the computers and Best Buy. The second one had the "black screen of"... the very next day! But Best Buy took it back in exchange with no problem. Sure it was unfortunate to spend all the time to set it up and then have to take it back, but there was no problem taking it back. Big Relief.
The computer itself is great. There are a few issues with the driver for the graphics card and Edge, the new browser. But that does not seem to be a hardware issue. It seems to be individual web sites that are not keeping up with technology changes. So again, Very happy with our purchase.

Purchased this 750-124 (I7 chip)computer to replace a 750-114 (I5 chip) that i had purchased in Oct. and was having "Video Driver failed" issues with. The store was easy to work with to return the other one and purchased this one. The I7 chip runs faster and is actually harder to hear as it runs, even though it is in the same case. The only thing I am not really happy about is that the dvd drive sits on its side.

The first unit I got worked about 2 days and then had an issue with turning on the monitor, spent almost 2 days with HP tech support and they finally asked me to ship it back to them and they would fix it, with about 20 day process. I didn't buy a new computer to have to have it repaired right away so I took it back to Best Buy for exchange, no hassle at all. The only downside to this is the fact of how much time I wasted transferring all my stuff to the new computer and then a couple days later having to do it all again, Other than that I really like this unit fast and powerful. This is the first time I've had a problem with a HP product everything I have is HP, That's why 5 stars.

This computer is a great computer with an ice seven processor. Works great for general computing very fast and quiet. It works for low to mid range gaming but some of the high graphics games don't do too well because the graphics card could be a little bit stronger but is more than adequate for general computing or even like I said the lower to mid range games For the price you can't beat that deal, good processor solid computer

Only problem so far is the video chip or driver occasionally crashes causing loss of session in a browser (Firefox in this case). Otherwise a 5-star machine. The funny-looking vertical panel on the front is a door that covers the disc drive; the vertical orientation is not as easy to load because you can't let go of the disc until it snaps in place.

The i7 is very fast with almost instant response. Plenty of memory and disk capacity. I work with large volumes of pictures and videos and nothing seems to slow down compute time. Not crazy about the location of the
USB ports in the top front of the computer. Difficult to reach.

At first, I wanted a n HP Envy Phoenix because it had more PCI slots. But then I saw this Envy with the brand new Intel core i7 6700 and 16 GB memory and was very intrigued...especially by the price for what you get.
Well, three weeks later, and I can tell you that this machine rocks! I would highly recommend this computer for anybody who wants speed galore combined with the sheer power of the 6700 line of processors. Great job HP and many cu does to Best Buy for the price.

This desktop computer is amazing for the price tag. I was lucky enough to get it for a $400 discounted price in store because the box was opened. The only issue is the internal graphics card is not the greatest. If you plan on gaming with this machine, I recommend getting a GeForce GTX 960 or greater to go with it. Overall, desktop is very responsive, handles most games on medium or better settings with no lag, and has plenty of features. 9/10 would recommend.

Great design, but with all that horsepower, lack of a true video card is surprising. Also, included keyboard is beyond minimalist! Could use better support info, for example, why light for wireless signal under vertical front door does not do anything. Very fast machine compared to my 10-year old Vista machine by HP.

The sales staff was very helpful. They asked what I would use the system for and how and covered key features of the available options. This was particularly true in address printer needs. I had the Geed Squad install the system, although I believe I could have possibly done it myself. When the new printer malfunctioned a week after being set up, the Geek Squad chat connection helped me to find I had to take the printer to the store for troubleshooting -- when they could not resolve the issue, I received a new, in the box printer with absolutely no hassle. Luckily, it was easy to "re-install." I'm very happy with my new system.

Most things about this computer are good ... there is a ton of space, which I need. I'm not thrilled about the Windows 10 transition, but I'm getting used to it. I've had a few bugs, but still trying to work them out.
