Very happy with the performance of the HP Envy i7, including the ability to perform mathematical and engineering modeling. Runs VirtualBox and zoom video smoothly. It has worked without fail running Linux Mint. The exterior isn't exciting and the unit is so light that plugging in and removing USB connections moves the entire tower -- gotta use two hands. However, this is not a huge concern.

Very Fast and quiet. Less than 20 seconds from pressing start button to ready to use.

Its computing speed is fast, and I was up and running in just 2 hours of setup. I dreaded upgrading, but HP made it super easy and efficient. My parents love this new computer. It's fast. It has enough room on the hard drive for all of the pictures and what not that they keep on there (as well as several external hard drives). They love how responsive it is as compared to their older computer.

This is by far the best computer I have ever owned. It's super quick and responsive with Office '19 products and games. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend.

This desktop was purchased to replace an ancient desktop (from 2009). What is great about this model is the SSD drive. The start up time from power on to actually logging in is about 3 seconds. The model meets all our needs and is capable of gaming with the 16GB of memory. Highly recommended for those looking for a little power with the ability to do every-day basic computing.

Fast PC, but we bought open-box. Scratches on the outside of the case. Sales Rep said it had everything we needed. No power cord. Had to go back to the store; got a used one (mangled) from the Geek Squad. Sales Rep said it had wireless mouse and keyboard. Nope. Wired. Also doesn't have a speaker...had to go back for speakers (My monitor does not have speakers). PC wouldn't recognize my printer; I had to buy Geek Squad Total Tech Support to get them to remote in (twice) to resolve the printer issue. Then it wouldn't open up attachments; two more calls to Geek Squad...took THEM 45 minutes to resolve. When I purchased GSTTS, I got a free WebRoot subscription...which I'd purchased and installed when I bought the PC, before getting the Geek Squad. Nope, can't return the opened Web Root. So much for plug-n-play. Good thing I have TTS for the next 11.5 months....

I am happy with this purchase, however the assistance transferring the information from the old one left a lot to be desired. I have BB contract for computer assistance and the on line assistance caused me to return the PC to the store due to there deleting drivers. I was not even able to access the internet. The PC is Great however beware of online help!!!

Is turning out to be a good machine. Reboots quickly when needed. Had some issues, also noted by other reviewers, regarding the system freezing. I was actually ready to return it but then a Windows Update updated the bios and it's been fine ever since. I love having the disk drive too. Don't need it often but when I do it's nice that it's there.
