I bought it a year ago and was a really good quality, barely had a problem. but is fast and the image is excellente.

bought this lap top for the price and size. it is a refurb- for a reason. the person who had it before me probably brought it back and got there money back because ot of the box its slow- windows 8 slow. with only 4gb of ram windows 8 runs slow add to the fact that i had problems just trying to get it to boot up, brought it back to best buy, the ran test had it at desk top for free. got it home and would not reboot again so me having built 7 desk top computers ran a bios check to find that this was the boot problem. bios was not up to date. geek squad should have checked this before my purchase. the is a geek squad certification that comes in the box. well i guess they did not do there job. so you need to get at least 8mb of ram on any computer running windows 8. this is a good lap top otherwise.

I purchased this in 2014. I am still using it 5 years later. I did upgrade the memory from 4 gigs to 16 gigs. And it accepted the Windows 10 upgrade with no problem. This is not my top performing machine, but it gets the job done. I use it for browsing the web, standard Office stuff, and streaming videos and watching DVDs. I also rip the DVDs from converted VHS tapes on this machine when the other one converting so I can convert two at the same time. I like the full size keyboard, and the wide screen. It is a bit on the heavy side, so it nice to have it on a table or something else.

The computer is well worth the money. We did have a little trouble initially, as the first computer was sent out to our house with the wrong power cord. Best buy was very helpful in returning the product. They sent us a return label, and within a few days we had our "new" replacement laptop. This one, however, came infected with malware. Geeksquad was not able to correct the problem remotely, so we ended up taking the laptop to our closest Best Buy so they could "reset" it. Now its good as new!

The laptop arrived in a Geek Squad generic box, packed tightly. My laptop looks brand new, no scratches. It only came with a charger, and that's it, no other accessories, which are cumbersome anyway. Everything runs good out of the box for a month now. The laptop itself is a decent model. At $300, it's a good deal. Don't expect it to be a thousand dollar model, then you'll be golden.

Purchased for my wife who is starting back to school. Very good school laptop. I added Open Office but I will get Microsoft Office student edition. Everything worked right out of the box. For a refurbished laptop it looked new. It is a bit bulky but still manageable. Great value for the money. I added 4gb more memory to help it out. I also added a mouse as she is not familiar with using a touch pad. If your looking for a laptop for a student this is it. I got it as a deal of the day and am very happy with my purchase.

Been thinking about upgrading for a while, but nothing out there really looked much better than my three year old computer. So when I saw this one come along for $300, I had to go for it just as a backup if nothing else. It's so much better than my old Toshiba, I've not once turned it on since I got it - bigger screen, faster, lighter, and more battery life, and about half what I spent three years ago! Great for anyone not needing the latest and greatest.

No complaints other than the size, but my fault. The only time size is an issue for me is travel, but I can take my work laptop. This is an excellent low price laptop...ready to go out of the box, with sufficient features.

This an extremely great buy! Large display, elegant look and processing speed is great as well. One thing nice would be a bluetooth function for file transfer but other than that, this laptop is equipped to handle more than just school or office work but also minecraft on very high settings...my daughter loves it.

I purchased this laptop for my daughter for her second year of college. She has been so amazed at how great this laptop is compared to her old one. Graphics are amazing when watching netflix and when she makes videos for class. The battery last for 5 hours straight while watching movies. Anle to multi task with no problem.

Over all this is a very good laptop. Plenty of power for the normal user with extra to spare. Not what a gamer would want then again it is in the $300 range for a 17".

I like the laptop but hate the touchpad. I will learn how to manage it overtime I hope. considering the price I am very satisfied.

This laptop is great for my needs (amateur gaming, music, hobbies, browsing). I wasn't sure about getting a refurb but my budget sort of demanded it and I'm now glad it did because a new one couldn't have been any better.

I've always found the Best Buy "deal of the day" to be an exceptional offer, and this was, no exception. This is a great laptop for the money and a highly recommend it for someone who wants functionality with value.

Bought this laptop to use in a camper where I had no room for a conventional desktop. Large display and full size keyboard make this a very user friendly laptop.

Hard drive is very large, 750 GB. 17in screen is great for all activities. Considering adding more RAM to ensure performance.

basically - IT DOES WHAT I NEED IT TO DO, very good video, warranty is 1 year, delivered in excellent condition.

Originally bought for wife, but she did not like 8.1 Still getting data transferred from old computer. Not an easy task. Keyboard not set up & as functionally as former computers.
