Printer stopped printing in less than two months

Everything was working properly. Yesterday I sent a job to the printer. It made a few beeps and sounds, then the touch screen went black, then white, then changed into a mode with HP and Energy star logo, then white and it goes on and on (see photos). I have tried reset several times, to no avail. I am ok with certain hiccups every once in a while, but it hasn't even been two months and I already have to call support because the product does not respond to resets?! Unacceptable.

I've wanted a color laser for a while, and Consumer Reports rated this one quite highly. Setup was extremely easy, did not even have to install toners. Every other laser printer I've purchased required me to install them before printing, so that was a nice touch. Works beautifully with Apple's AirPrint, letting me print directly from my iPhone or iPad. Color output is superb. Consumer Reports rated it average for color quality but I disagree. Prints envelopes easily too. It has some built-in functions I wasn't aware of, that are nice. You can quickly print graph paper, music scores and note paper with a few touches of the touchscreen.

I read a lot of reviews from multiple sites before purchasing this printer, and I fully agree with the following: setup takes only a few minutes (though the software install from the disc to my laptop actually took a little time), is super easy, and now wifi printing from my Android phone or my laptop is a sinch. The quality and speed are outstanding, especially considering the price. My expectations were exceeded and I would buy another one if I needed it. To top it off, it's even smaller than my old compact ink jet, which is great for tighter office spaces.

Newer, Better and Smaller -- HP Color Laser

I had an earlier model of HP Color Laser printer that I paid nearly twice as much for several years ago. The older model was starting to print rather poor quality (after about five years of pretty steady use) and HP recommend a maintenance kit that WOULD have cost more than this new printer. So far I have printer several hundred pages, both monochrome and color and am very impressed. I've even reduced the print coverage density for all the toner colors and can hardly see a difference, other than reduced toner usage--you really need to check out the web interface or find these settings in the printer software, you'll save a bunch. I strongly recommend this printer for relatively high duty cycles and uses.

I purchased this compact color laser based on some reviews and the capabilities. I use my home office to support my writings for some publications within the hobby industry. Most of the text is sent electronically, but when you need hard copy, you need dependability. This one has good speed, fast "wake up", sharp output and is great at wireless print connections. It's not real fast, but then I don't need speed. The only thing I would change is that shadows come out darker than I like.

Glad to see this new generation printer. Quality is very good and ease of setup and printing is fine; footprint is also acceptable. Fast enough for my consulting work. Cartridge seems to last longer than expected.

This is a color laser and prints very well, as one would expect. It does not print photographs, but the quality of images is fine for all but the most demanding jobs. Print speed is fine. It can print on both sides of the paper and there is very little lag time between sides. (My old inkjet waited for page 1 to dry.) Setup is simple and there was no problem with the wifi. You can email stuff to it. There are other features I have not explored. The only worry I have is the cost of toner, but I am still on my first set.

This little HP Color Laser works great as a printer for my house. It will duplex print, and as long as you are doing a page or two you can use the manual sheet feed, for larger jobs just load the second side in the printer feed tray. Nice color, easy to set up, (I have not tried the wifi yet), and it prints fast for a print costing so little. All in all it meet all that I expect and more from a HP printer.

I read lots of reviews and spoke with a few service reps before purchasing this printer for our small business. We mainly got it to print a form in color that we were printing at FedEx Office which is ridiculously expensive. So far it works great, does not take too long to warm up, prints quickly, and the color is awesome. Set up was also easy. I recommend this printer.

This was a replacement for a 10 year old inkjet printer, read the reviews, compared the features and decided to go with the color laser printer. I am not disappointed. Easy to set up, works wirelessly with my phone and tablet. Great printing results.

Very nice quality, love the wifi capability and the LCD - paper tray is a little small but the compact size is a terrific trade-off. Great value on the XXL toners too!

The unit was easy to install, and has performed very well. Quality of printing is excellent. I had a problem installing on the second PC on my home network, but an HP tech worked with me over the phone to solve the problem the same day. Very pleased with this choice, price was great !

This is my first laser printer, which I purchased for family use. The print quality is very good; speed is more than adequate. We had no problem connecting multiple devices from locations all over the house. Overall, a great purchase for a great price.

Much sharper than any ink jet I've ever had and the best part is, no ink to dry out. Smallest Lazer jet color I could find. Best feature: HP has a site you email to and your attachment is sent straight to your printer from anywhere. Great way to print from your phone.

We purchased this for our home office/teachers office, second printer. We use an HP PW1102 laser for monochrome printing which is 95% , and this printer for the other. This beats the heck out an inkjet. Cheaper per page and the ink doesn't go bad time wise. The WIFI wouldn't set up with the WPS button on the Verizon Router so I did manual setup with no trouble. Print quality is good except for a bit of magenta toner hanging on to some of the pages. The problem seems to have gone away after a few images. Images per set of toners is unknown as of this writing,

This was purchased for home use. Our 15+year old HP printer gave out but had always performed well so we only considered HP for the new printer. This one is small and very quiet. It is exactly what we were looking for.
