I bought this printer to replace an HP OfficeJet multi-function. HP makes good equipment, and I've been using their PCs and printers for a long time. This is the first color laser I've owned, and I've been really happy with it. I bought the printer for home use, which might be overkill, but we do tend to print a lot.
I decided on this printer after a fair amount of research. Best Buy had the best price, and had it in stock. Setup and software installation was a breeze. The printer is fast and the results are excellent, both b/w and color. I can't comment on cartridge yield yet, but I think it will be satisfactory based on the specs. Be aware that this is not a small printer, so measure your space first if that could be an issue.
Bottom line -- no regrets. Prints well, scanner and fax work great, menu is well thought out. Nice touches like USB storage, wireless connectivity and other features. Fast and reasonably quiet.
I'd recommend this printer for home or small office use.

I don't have that much printing activity but when I need to print a document, I need to print a document and not spend hours, wasting expensive ink to clear print heads on an ink jet printer. With this new laser color printer, I am confident that it will be ready to serve my needs, probably at less expense than with the inkjet that it replaced. Integrating this printer into my wireless network was easy-peasy. It came with an driver install disk that I used on one of my computers but all of my other wireless devices, including smart phones and touch pads were able to communicate with it and use it without the need to install drivers for it. I'm a happy camper!

The HP - LaserJet Pro MFP m477fnw Color All-In-One Printer has turned out to be outstanding. Easy to install on wired network or Wi-Fi. My MACs and PC all print to it. The email printing is a wonderful free option. The scanning and printing is fast, clear and sharp. The FAX is also easy to setup and use. I highly recommend it.

I got this usually priced at $500 on sale at Best Buy for $350. It has all the bells & whistles I need: fax, dual paper trays, scanner, & printer. I wish the trays were both the same size, though. Tray 1 only holds 50 sheets while Tray 2 holds 250. Tray 1 is a convertible tray that opens at the front of the printer. That explains why it’s smaller. However I just use it for legal paper since I use much less of that than letter.
I can print just fine from my iPhone when I’m on the internet network, but have difficulty when I use my laptop sometimes if all the different colored inks aren’t in place. If I run out of any color, it goes haywire, but works fine if I print from my iPhone...go figure.
HP wants you to search on the internet to troubleshoot anything, but it would be nice if they had a 1-800 FREE number to at least walk you through your initial setup.
The feature I absolutely LOVE is that the printer has its own email address. If you leave the printer on and email a file, it will print it and send you an email to confirm that it’s printed. You can do this away from home and have documents already printed for you when you arrive! That’s awesome!
The ink is pretty expensive to replace, $90 & up per toner cartridge, so this printer is best for small business use, or for someone who needs high-quality documents for presentation purposes.
A few glitches, but overall a good machine for the price.

I upgraded from an inkjet printer and I am wondering why I waited so long! This printer is fast and quiet although it does take up much more space than my inkjet printer. Basic set up was very quick and easy across all devices.

I've been so pleased and impressed with this printer. I was looking for a color laser because I print infrequently at home and have had far too many ink cartridges dry up on me. Laser does not do this. This printer has so many cool ways to connect thru wifi. I was able to connect to our wifi within minutes thru the screen on the printer. I've also been able to quickly setup scan to e-mail (thru the Web Apps icon on the UI) and scan to Google Drive. I love that I don't have to connect my laptop to do scanning like I did with my last printer. You can even create an e-mail for the printer so that if you e-mail that address from anywhere it will print. The print quality is great and the colors look good.

Easy Setup, Fast Reliable Printer

Bought this to replace a failing all-in-one printer. Setup was incredibly easy. The touchscreen made everything pretty self-explanatory. After entering my wifi settings via the touch screen, I was able to discover the printer from all of my computers and devices (from two iMacs, several iPhones, Android phone, Windows tablet) without any hiccups. I threw several tests at it to get it to fail, but it was able to print every single time. The only knock I have against the printer is the size and weight. I don't think my parents would've been able to physically setup the printer themselves. Other than that, I would not hesitate to recommend this printer.

I have one of these at work, so I decided to get one for home. Only difference is that this one does not duplex, which I do not really need at home. This is an incredibly reliable printer, never lets me down. Before this, I had a similar Canon printer that worked OK, but that had to wake up and take about 5 minutes to warm up before the first printout. With this HP, even if I have not used the printer for days, it will have the print done before I can even walk over to the machine. The supplies are definitely a little pricey, but I do believe you get what you pay for. Recommended!

I really like the printer, stepped up from inkjet. Started a business and knew my printing quantity was increasing. Good quality, easy to use, reasonably priced. One warning, the software download has 2 programs, only one of those allows changes to the scan images.

The set up was quite simple. The quality and speed of printing works well. But I have not been able to use automatic double-sided print and this is very necessary for me as a teacher. I plan on contacting Geek squad for help.

After 8 months with this MFC and doing a lot of printing and scanning, I really love this "gadget."
It prints fantastic quality on all kinds of paper, including even glossy which many others can't handle well at all. This one prints up to 8 pt. C1S glossy cover stock, and when a toner cartridge is empty, you get to choose normal or high capacity depending on your needs.
The scanner can handle both on-glass scans and sheetfed, and the driver software for Mac at least lets you scan a sheetfed bunch into a single PDF if you want, or JPEG/JPEG2000/etc. for photos or graphics.
I also like that it has Wi-Fi built-in so that you can print from either your desktop, laptop, or phone or tablet anytime.

Purchased this printer for a client with a small business and it works like a dream! The basic cartridges provide 3000 page yield! This unit provides fax/scan/print all in one medium sized unit. This unit has a 3 inch touch screen panel for on printer use. It is able to scan to network folders on a server with fairly simple setup due to HP setup wizard! This printer is a SUPER STEAL at $318.99!!!

Easy to set up and fast. Printing quality for both color and BW is very good. Foot print is reasonable for a all in one laser printer.
