I bought the HP 8600 because I have a family member and a friend who both own this model. It was time to upgrade from the HP 4400 Photosmart and this seemed to have everything I needed: multi-page scanning, multi-page copying, fax and photo print quality. I absolutely am delighted with this product.

I purchased this printer because my previous printer wasn't meeting my printing demands for my home business. I have been printing non stop since purchasing this printer and love the ease of use and quality. There are so many useful features that I can use this printer for everything; scanning, emailing, faxing, printing, etc. rather than separate machines for each job!

Having run a 7410 All-in-One into the ground we eagerly sought a similar quality HP replacement. Did we find it? In some ways yes, in others no. The 8600 is certainly rich in features and quality. It is being used as a network printer (ethernet) for 2 desktops and 2 laptops.. While we have yet to print any pictures, the print quality is very good. 'Draft' mode printing is the equivalent of the 7410 'fast normal'. The 'scan' feature seems to be much better too. The only critical items which come to mind are the longer than expected pause from the time an item is released by the pc to the point when printing actually begins. Also, the print head is not in the ink cartridge. How the latter will play out, only time will tell. I prefer he concept of having a new print head when the cartridge is changed. And, regarding cartridges, a simple check of the remaining ink level is buried several layers down in the software. Definitely more steps than should be needed. All in all, it is a sound, quality piece of equipment. Definitely has proven to be a prudent purchase.

We've had the printer for 3 months and have used it everyday. Our family prints from laptops, ITouch's, IPhones, IPads and the Samsung Galaxy S4. The printer works seamlessly with all of them. This printer replaced an eight year old HP All in One 7410. I would recommend this printer for a small business or busy home.

My Dell needed replacement and I never had problems with HP printers and all I had with Dell was issues. I love this printer and it works great.

The set up was fairly simple. I've printed both documents & photos and both are good quality. It takes a long time to get started once you hit Print but speed is OK after that.

This is a nice all in one printer for a typical home user. I brought it home and in a very short time had it out of the box, set up for wireless printing and printing via the internet. I've used all the functions which work well and are easy to use. I feel I've gotten good value for the price I paid.

We purchased this printer to replace an older model and are very pleased with the printer speed (ppm) as well the quality of the copies we make.

Good investment for graduate school. Does all the things that I need to do for a convenient price.

Best printer I have had. I always buy HP. This is like proffessional quality. I have used all its features, scanning, copying, printing and faxing. It has high quality prints and is fast! I love the capability to print from any of my computers at home wirelessly. I can even print from my smart phone. HP has really done a great job on this model.

Have used the printer to scan to my laptop, fax, copy and print. All functions produced great results and I am very pleased with the outcome. We have 3 college students in the house so we are always printing articles, papers, etc and the speed is amazing. I can print a 15 page article in the time it used to take me to print 5 pages.

This was easy to hook up to the computer and it set up the basics very easily. We were able to print documents and photos the very first day. We were pleased with the quality.

This printer was so easy to set up! I just took it out of the box, plugged in the power, and followed the on screen instructions. No need to fuss with extra cords as it is wireless. The only bad thing I've noticed is a slight delay between hitting print and the actual printing of what it is I want to print. This is minimal in my opinion.

Set up in minutes right out of the box. No cables needed to connect computers to wi-fi. Liked ability to give name to printer and send print jobs there directly. Haven't printed pictures yet. It is a replacement for comparable LexMark that didn't work most of the time.

I have always used Epson printers because of their speed and quality but they become expensive when you buy the ink. So this time around I decided to try this machine and I must say HP has done great. This printer is fast, reliable, ink is retaively cheap bc you don't have to buy it as often and it automatically prints double sided

Needed a printer fast. Bought because of good review. Very happy with it. It was extremely easy to set up on a home network & wirelessly for all laptops in house. Speed is good. Ink lasts a long time-still on first cartridges: my old printer ate up ink cartridges.

The HP 8600 has been reliable at work so I decided to try it at home. I have been very satisfied with it's performance and the speed of printing. I do constant scanning and saving documents. I constantly use the feeder for scanning multiple pages. Along with Adobe Pro, I save all of my paper files digitally for future use.

I purchased this printer because it was on sale..I was looking for a low cost printer for home use. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to setup and connecting our four laptops and desktop to the printer. Also, the value of using the HP ePrint function from anywhere is awesome. Great, low cost, easy to use printer.

I bought this printer because of the sale price and was pleasantly surprised. it does everything and is very easy to use.

I had a very similar printer and the feeder broke; then I got another printer of a higher quality (HP) and the same thing happened. Not sure if it was the grade of paper. This is a higher quality printer with photo options and it will encourage me to print photos I hope! It's a solid printer, the fax is good, and I love HP brand.
