Very user friendly...so much so that my grandmother can operate it with hardly any supervision. The scan - to - email feature is just what I have been looking for. The setup was a cinch. Con: paper trays are delicate; on the thin side.

Comes with extra set of color cartridges ink is what is so expense these days. I love that it duplexes and does photos, copies, prints, scans and faxes. Really easy to set up just follow the on scared prompts and have your network password ready and your good to go. We use this for home use and I keep the eprint feature for when I'm away I can send something to printer from my phone, iPad. Laptop. I wasn't really wanting to spend the $$$ but s my husband pointed out with the extra set of color cartridges it was worth it. The duplexer was a little noisy in the beginning but not any more. You do have to attach the duplexer and the bottom tray but it's just a matter of setting the printer on the bottom tray and slidding the duplexer into the back of printer. I choose to download the software that my desktop sure easy to do. I print from iPad, laptop and phone directly to printer wirelessly since its on my home network.

This was a welcomed addition to my home office as my previous HP all in one was 10 years old and although it was still a good printer it did not work with current software operating systems so scanning and other features became obsolete. With the 8630 I have wireless printing which the entire family took advantage of and they can send a print job from any device anywhere in the house and collect on their way out to school or work. Also, the paper feeding mechanism and the ability for me to sign and scan contracts on legal size paper make this a valuable addition to both the home and office. It was easy to set up and the print quality in both B&W and color is excellent.

Easy to install, nice sensitivity on the touch screen controls, runs very quietly and scan feature is super easy to use.

We just purchased this product. Easy set-up is an understatement! Very self-explanatory set-up and product. LOVE the wifi/smart product options - works like a charm with cell phone and tablet. Only downside is that it is rather large for a home machine. That being said, it's a keeper!

The HP 8630 is an excellent product and is my first wireless printer. It's great being able to print from any device around the house. Make sure you understand the footprint of the 8630 because it's not your ordinary desktop printer. It is designed for heavy duty use. The quality is OK but not outstanding. It's not really much better than my old HP6210 for black & white or color. The technology is great and the scanning is easy, quick and versatile. It will make it possible to scan old paper documents to an electronic archive so that is a big deal. The HP8630 is my new best friend.

This printer is simply awesome! It works and I was able to connect it to my wireless network right away. So, set up was super easy and I was able to connect it to multiple laptops and my iPhone as well. The double siding printer is the main reason why I bought this specific printer. The scanner is also an awesome feature that works well. I was able to get rid of my EPSON printer that was a very average printer and I am glad that I was able to make this upgrade. As a college student, I use this printer quite often to either print or upload documents to my computer. It is also a great way to scan notes to my laptop so I don't have to keep notebooks upon notebooks.

This printer is great fax,copy,scan,print, does everthing and more,wasn't worried about space just wanted a good printer that does everything and that will last, works great with my I phone and MacBook

The HP8630 proved to be a big improvement over my old HP printer. The sale price at about 50% off initial price made the decision to buy easy. Especially appreciate the wireless feature and find that I print more than when I used to carry my laptop to the printer and connect the cable. Only drawback I find is that it is bulkier than my old one, but I have found the perfect place for it.

The options that the printer gives is really beneficial as an office/home setting. I like the ease of using the product and the many options that it gives. It is also nice to have a second paper tray in printing documents that require a lot of paper. The color and black and white printed copies are easy to read

This came with the double paper tray which you can take off one of them. it's quite a bit bigger than in the store but I did see it without the second tray. Works way better than I expected. For the quality and price it works amazing so quick, so crisp, so clean. It's perfect for all I need and the entire family can use it as well. Easy to connect to the wifi, the kids can do it! Never thought I'd get something like this because it's so bulky but I'm so happy I did. No more cheap deal printers for me ever again!

Fast printing, great for scanning works with many different computers

I did my research and really liked the comments on this model, but needed to try it myself. Is all I expected and more. Easy setup, connects with all our laptops and i-pads, print quality is very good, double-sided print saves a ton of paper. So far totally satisfied. Price is on the expensive side for a home printer but totally worth.

I purchased this printer as a replacement of my aging HP 8510 printer. It is in the same general family of printers, but the new 8630 feels more solid. The document feeder for the scanner appears to be better constructed. Setup was easier than with the 8510--mostly automatic. The front panel user interface is also an improvement. Printing is fast, color calibration is very good. The power cord no longer requires an external power transformer--a good improvement. We only use the printer as a wireless device--no issues so far with both PC's and MAC's using the printer. You know when you do not have anything bad to say about a device that you are using that it is working well for you. Yeah, I really like this printer. Oh...I also purchased the replacement ink service as a test. It is about at the level where the service and cost makes economic sense to me--at least I don't see any financial risk. We'll see how it goes.

Fast print speed, makes working from home easier. Love the fact you can enroll to have ink shipped to your home when the ink reads low, automatically. Don't even have to worry with keeping up with ink levels and ordering myself

I was using an HP printer that was not printing black. I use it for home but it is still important to me to be able to print when needed. The quality output of the 8630 is far superior to any I have SEEN. Love the printer

I replaced an over five year old Hp OfficeJet Pro 7780. Have been waiting for the old one to go out but it wouldn't. So, I donated it to a charity to have excuse to buy this 8630 I have been wanting for a couple of years now. It has been everything I have come to expect from Hp printers.

Printer works great. I was surprised that a 2nd tray came with printer. Only problem I have had is I did not remove the old printer from the computer so some time it tells me printer not available. Prints fast and had great color. At the price I paid wished I would have bought 2.
