Might be good for very light printing needs

I purchased this in November. I wanted a better printer but at that time there were very few options - printers were at a minimum. I hooked it up and it printed nicely. Then I ran my first newsletter on it. Yahoo, I thought "it prints quickly". Well, 4 months later I am printing a smaller newsletter and it is taking 2 1/2 minutes per page. What the heck? This newsletter has fewer graphics than the first one. It has been gradually getting slower but today is ridiculous. It's a 3 page newsletter (well, print on both sides). I started 5 hours ago and I'm not even half way done. And the number of copies I'm printing is less than 60. And I'm on the quicker print (draft) mode. Yikes! I should have held out for the one I wanted...

Tired of print heads getting clogged, cleaning, wasting ink, only to get one good page, then rinse and repeat. Time will tell if the HP does well in this area. I like it so far and it seams to integrate well with my Apple heavy household.

It does photocopying at a reasonably quick rate, and it prints well. The only drawback is the slower rate for printing from a file when duplexing. Just plan lots of time for that job, and you will be fine.

It is flimsy, I printed a 33 page 2 color (black and yellow). The yellow ink is half full and the black 3/4 full. This is suppose to be a printer that the ink is to last longer than most printers.

I was not happy about having to get a new printer because I am cheap but this one was a great replacement. I use the printer mostly for personal stuff but its nice to have it for work in a pinch and it works great. Crisp, relatively fast printing. This is a great home printer.

New HP Color Printer

The only slight drawback has to do with loud noise (printer cartridges resetting) after job completes. Will take some getting used to. Other than that based on the price, I’m pleased.
