It all boils down to money. I gave it 3 stars because it's airprint compatible

Awful software, very tempremental

The HP smart software is awful, it loses connection all the time (nothing else drops on the network), I have to remove and reinsert ink cartridges 10+ times whenever I change the ink. I would avoid this at all costs. I should have looked it up before purchasing as all of these issues are well known

It Holds Up to the Challenge

I also utilize the scan and copy features as well. Two weeks in and very pleased. My only concern is the ink cartridge install is a little flimsy, need to see how durable it will be.I would recommend to a friend.

Better than I thought

If prints well, and faster then I expected. The touch screen is responsive and eat to use. Which is more than I can say for the web interface it has. The duplex printing works well. Printing from the phone and tablet is also fantastic and has worked flawlessly. Easy to recommend.

I’m sorry your printer hasn’t performed well. I can wholly understand why slow scanning speed, noisy printing and cumbersome software would, in fact, but a huge disappointment. I want to help you remedy these problems. I hope the resources I’ve listed below lead to that end.
First, while scan speeds vary based on the complexity of a document, waiting too long for a scan to complete shouldn’t be happening. I recommend updating your printer's firmware, as this can often help improve the speed. Learn how to do that here:

You can also visit a page on our support site that has various diagnostic tools, including a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
