HP took the all-in-one naming to a new level. It’s not just about printing, scanning, etc. Quality, performance, easy to use and setup are all part of the all-in-one name. Setting it up was the easiest I’ve ever experienced with a printer. I was really impressed. Setup for recent HP models were not complicated but now it is almost plug-and-play. If you have a mobile phone to load their app, you don’t need to enter passwords, select wireless network, and enter IP address or anything. Other than pressing OK on the nice color LCD screen every now and then, it’s basically hands-free. I bet they could even get rid of that part because it gets all the info from the app. I’m still wondering how that communication happened on the background between the printer and my phone even before it was connected to WiFi. Anyway, the magic happened and I was very satisfied. With wireless network being so common nowadays, I don’t see many people using USB but you do have that option. I didn’t try it but I’m guessing setting it up that way must be a breeze as well HP printers almost always provide excellent quality and this is no exception and didn’t surprise me that the print-outs are identifical to laser printing and the colors are bright and vivid. Scanning was very fast. Didn’t need to scan too many documents but the few that I had was completed in no time. I like that it actually prints 22 pages per minute in black in white. In my experience, it didn’t wait to start printing as some printers do, defeating the practicality of printing so many pages in a minute. Those printers should just say “prints these many pages per minute after it actually starts printing, which can take 5 minutes or longer”. Ink usually becomes a lot more expensive than the printer itself. This one comes with ink and it’s free to get more as needed for 6 months. After that, you can subscribe and pay $4.99 per month. Yes, it is a subscription but you’d easily spend a lot more than that per month in average, unless you went with cheap ink that doesn’t guarantee quality or keep your printer from failing sooner than it should. The subscription is very affordable if you need to replace ink once or more every year. It’s my personal opinion but it's based on experience. Last but not least, these printers communicate with some encryption , which can prevent so many security issues such as hackers connecting to your printer and accessing your network through it. It happens more often than most people are aware of.

      Hi there.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve run into such difficulty with your printer. I can certainly understand why an inoperative scan feature, rapid ink use and issues with printing would represent a poor start to ownership. I want to help you resolve these problems, so I’ll direct you to some resources I hope will reach that end.

First, I recommend that you consult a guide to scanning with HP printers you’ll find on our support site. It includes instructions for various desktop and mobile operating systems as well as an FAQ section. Find that here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2275901-2074064-16

For printing issues, I suggest you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, where you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. You can find that page here:
      - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics

Regarding ink use, I can’t tell from your review how many pages you’ve printed and how that compares with the cartridges’ estimated page yields. The XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 1,600 to 2,000 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 700 to 1,000 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

Regardless, if your results differ dramatically from the estimates above – or if any other problem persists – I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. This printer is amazing. Was simple to set up. It is simple to use. The app integration and ability to simply scan a document with my cell phone directly to print from the printer is amazing. Quality is incredibly smooth. It's not loud. Scans directly from the glass are perfect. Every time I've gone to use this printer so far it has been amazing. It's a bit pricey if you need something for just every day general around the house use... but if you have a need to print and scan on a regular basis this is an excellent choice.

    Very impressive inkjet printer

This is a great All-In-One for the price. The print quality of both black and white documents and color pictures is very close to my laser jet printer. I was surprised compared to inkjet printers I have had over the years. The scan and copy features are also very high quality and very easy to use at either the machine (the color touch control panel is large, clear, and very intuitive) or using the HP Smart app on both my Windows 10 PC and iPad/iPhone IOS app. Setup was very simple following the onscreen instructions and using the HP Smart app to add it to my WiFi network. The printer requires activation of the HP+ service before it would actually work. Once fully activated, it stated that the printer always has to be connected to the internet to function. Not sure what that means should I ever want to discontinue the HP+ automatic ink program. The only thing that was odd about this printer was inserting the cartridges (there are three color and one B&W). They never seemed to click in place and in fact a couple of times popped back out before I shut the front cover. Finally they all stayed in place and the printer has printed fine since. I would like for them to feel a little more secure when inserted so that I know they are seated securely. The duplexing (double sided) printing is nice and saves paper when single sided is not needed. This can even be controlled through AirPrint, which the printer supports flawlessly. I like the looks of this printer. Combined with the ease of use, print quality, and All-In-One functionality, this printer is very nice.

We bought this to replace our old HP 8600 Officejet Pro. I don't know what HP is doing, they used to be a quality product. With the pandemic, my son is having to scan his homework and upload it to his instructor, First time using the auto-feed for the scanner, it ate the first sheet and spun it up between the roller assembly and the gear. Initially, I thought it was just a fluke, so I tested it with another document with the same result. Returned it to Best Buy, they didn't have another 9015 in stock (thankfully). Went with a lower model the 8020, that one appears to be working fine.

While I have only had the OfficeJet Pro 9015 for one day, I was so impressed I felt compelled to write a review to share my thoughts. Setup was very straightforward, I downloaded the HP Smart app to my Iphone and finished setting up the printer. The app gives you the option to send a link to your email so I then downloaded the appropriate software on my work laptop (a Dell). The app/software located and connected to my Wifi automatically and without issue. I had a small issue with my work's firewall but the software guided me through overcoming that and the printer was up and running flawlessly. I then did the same thing with my personal laptop, also an HP, and unbeknown to me the Smart App was already loaded on my laptop. So setting up my personal laptop took mere seconds, awesome! I frequently use my phone to capture images, take pictures of paperwork/contracts, etc., and the Smart app on my phone is incredibly useful for those purposes. I can also use my phone/Smart app to scan images, print documents/photos from my phone or my Google Drive, Facebook or Instagram pages. There is a lot of versatility with the app, but I was most impressed when printing documents and images. The printer is smoking fast, especially compared to my older Canon printer that this printer replaced. The documents printed perfectly crisp and clear. Overall, while I have only had the printer for one day I am extremely impressed with its quality, speed, and Smart app versatility. Highly recommended!

I bought one of these took it home and it complained about not having the set up ink in it even though it was in it… Then it spewed the black ink everywhere inside so I took it back and replaced it with another unit and since it was such a drive I decided to plug it in to see if it powered on and gave me any grief before I left the town and it wouldn’t even power on so I immediately took it back and because they didn’t have any more of anything in stock I had to shift to an Epson… I will neverLook at the HP printer again. Thank you Best Buy for taking it back… Due to bad weather in Texas I was days over my return. And they still helped

Had this printer for all of two days. During the initial set up, I installed the ink cartridges and kept getting error message that the cartridges were defective. Kept removing and reinserting them till the machine finally accepted them. Then I started getting message that the printer head was out of alignment. Took a while but I fixed that. Then I finally was able to print a few documents. I tried printing a 4x6 form with Avery labels. That was the final straw. It would not align correctly and then kept telling me that it was out of paper even though it had about 75 pieces of paper in the tray. I finally gave up and returned it. Will never buy HP again!!!!
