Great laptop for price, computer performance is exactly what I was looking for

In my hunt to replace my dying laptop I first bought a VIVO that was a mistake. I returned it and grabbed this bad boy. While not exactly what I wanted it's bested my expectations. Once I solved a few recurring errors and turned off automatic shutdown when an error occurs this thing has been running like a champ. I wish it weren't plastic but it still seems solid. I'd be careful of what bag you put it in and not be to rough with jostling it but it should hold up to standard abuse. The one complaint I do have is the back lighting I'm not a fan of the red and so far I haven't found a way to adjust it. It seems like it's all or nothing. Even after downloading the control panel from HP. Overall this is a powerhouse with a super entry level price. You can't beat this in terms of value. Are there much better machines? Yes. But at this price point you can't do much better. Anything cheaper is going to drive you insane.

easy to set up...works great for games I play..good price

I can't really find anything bad to say about my HP OMEN I wish had more time to shop around and really explore my options but I was out of town on a business trip and previous laptop decided to fry itself. after only about an hour of shopping Best Buy's options I found this was the laptop going to give me more bang for my buck. being that it was about $500 cheaper than my last laptop and performs much better I decided to put it through it's paces and I haven't found a game that I can't play and stream with it. It can get a little laggy especially now that I have a game library with about 30 games on it but that's just me pushing this poor little guy to it's limits.

I bought two for Christmas presents and the kids love it. They are using them primarily for games off of Steam. It performs great and no lag from WiFi connection. CS GO, Player Unknowns Battlegrounds, Battlefront 2, and some Call of Duty. You will need a gaming mouse (Razor).

This laptop is perfect for new PC gamers. I'm new to the whole thing and have mainly been on console my whole life. Set up was simple and quick, the omen assistant program is extremely helpful and NVidia's app is easy to use/understand. HP did a great job with the Omen.

Great Gaming Computer only issues its a little heavy and takes a while to load however once on works great

I bought this back in November 2017, it is now February 2018 and so far it has worked fast and pretty well. The only problem I've had was with a certain game, every time I clicked on it, the screen would flicker for a moment but then everything goes back to normal. Not sure if something is wrong with the computer or if something went wrong while downloading the game. Other than that, it works just fine with other games. All in all I think it is a good computer for gaming, graphics look awesome, computer is very quiet, never gets loud when playing a game or doing anything else, and works well for school work as well. I've noticed some people complain about the screen bleeding but everything looks fine with mine.

I always wanted to have a gaming computer but couldn't afford one until now. I have Microsoft Flight Simulator, but my previous computers would not let me set it to high detail mode and play properly. This one works great with high detail settings, especially with the add on software for New York City called "Manhattan X". I wish it had a 2 TB hard drive instead of a 1 TB drive but I have an external 4 TB USB drive so I can live with this.

This is my very first gaming pc/laptop. I have to say, AMAZING. Works great with all the games I wanted to get. The quality of the screen is great. Could be a tad brighter and the speaker could be a bit louder but that would be nitpicking at things. You don’t need a super bright screen and most of the time, if not all the time, you’ll be using a headset while gaming anyways. I was a little reluctant on buying the smaller screen but it’s honeslty perfect size. Had no issue starting up whatsoever. I would 100% recommend this laptop if you want to start of with something not super pricey.

The Omen will make you feel like a Sith Lord when you power it on for the first time. Control your favourite battlestation with its lightning fast processing and hit every mark unlike the local trooper!

Bought this one for my cousin after a lot of shopping around. Compared to the other gaming laptops, I found Omen to be relatively better with its configuration, looks and value for money.

Got this computer to run VR headsets - and it works so well that I got a second one for doing demos. Fantastic price - better at BestBuy than buying from HP's website. Highly recommend.

If you are looking to get into gaming, this computer will get you started with good features. The Door Buster price made the purchase a no brainer.

Easy to set up. Nice, easy to see screen. Love the back lit keys. Looks cool. Can play GTA V with no problems once the nvidia update was done.
