Great for just getting started and wanting to upgrade yourself. I upgraded the ram but too add another stick of ram used have to get it from hp or get new ram and use ryzen master to get the right speed. I also upgraded to liquid cool and put new fans in it did seem to run hot. But even without the upgrades it did good and held its own. It a great PC to get to start with.

I've been on the lookout for a new pc for a while now. There's so much that you can do on the phone these days, but I really wanted something more. Originally, I was going to purchase a standard business-class machine, but I decided that gaming machines had more bang for the buck. I bought two of these computers, one for me, one for my spouse, and they've turned out great! Yes, I intend to upgrade the ram eventually (8 gb is a little less than what I want), but it's enough to be getting along with for now. The build quality seems solid, the internals look good, and the esthetic, while not what I'm used to, is interesting. One note of caution, however. The mouse this computer comes with is not only bog standard, it's a little uncomfortable. The keyboard on the other hand is, well, not very nice to put it lightly. Key travel is shallow like the lesser laptops' keyboards, and key spacing is also reminiscent of those machines. Fortunately, I had another keyboard lying around, but it's a little sad that a high-quality machine comes with a keyboard and mouse that can be beaten by the dime-store replacements I just happened to have. I didn't expect super-cool gaming peripherals with buttons, switches, and pretty lights. That'd be taking away money from companies which specifically sell to gamers. But I did expect better than what I got. All that being said, the keyboard and mouse you get with the computer are useable until you can buy something better, and it's a small detraction from a fantastic machine. Not even worth the loss of a star, as keyboards are such a matter of personal preference anyway, and the logic could easily run that people will just replace them anyway. So far, I'm impressed. Thanks, HP, for the great machine. Thanks, Best Buy, for the great price!

Purchased the PC for work/gaming (quarantine purchase) as I don't know when I'll be able to work from an office again. I bought a gaming computer as well because I do photography work on the side and running Adobe eats up a lot of system resources. When I bought the computer I also purchased 32GB RAM (two CORSAIR - Vengeance RGB PRO 3.2GHz PC4-25600 DDR4 DIMM sticks). I installed the new RAM without issue (the CPU case makes it really easy to open up) but my computer doesn't seem any faster. The computer registers both RAM sticks but the computer is testing slow. I went into the BIOS setting and found that there is no option to look at the RAM. I'm not super computer savvy but I believe I should have an NB frequency at/around 4200MHz and a DRAM Frequency close to 1500MHz. I'm currently clocking 1064MHz on both NB and DRAM. I spoke with customer support and they said that you can overclock in the Omen Command Center. There is no option to overclock in the OMEN Command Center. I tried to contact them again but got stuck in the fabled HP Customer Support loop. I'm going to look at upgrading the memory card soon as that would likely take care of the issue. The PC is still great for gaming, however, and runs smoothly (a little overheating when using a lot of Photoshop). The PC should have come with 16GBs of RAM out of the gate, and a BIOS that allows more versatility. Easily a 5 star computer regardless. 4 stars because I'm annoyed at HP Customer Support.

Everything works great and the computer looks super sleek. Been running everything just as expected and its pretty quiet. It is also very upgradable which is great. My cpu has been hitting a little over 80C with some more demanding games. I know this is in normal temp range for these chips as they dont overheat till 95C but it still is pretty hot and I was wondering if anyone else has the same issue. Aside from this no issues whatsoever and is definitely worth it especially being on sale

This is my son's first pc and he loves it. He uses it for long periods of time, with out giving breaks in between. I don't know much about PC but It is very luxurious and from what I saw with installation was an easy process. My son does very well in navigation, and when he moves the mouse it moves fast. He does online school and also is a gammer, and enjoys all about his pc. It changes colors and you can also look inside which it looks cool.

This is an excellent pc, love the combo of ryzen 5, gtx 1660 super. Some of the best components you'll ever need for 1080p gaming. Haven't tested of higher res but am sure you should be good. Bestbuy sevice was the best with same day delivery and also on a 100$ off the list price special. So far have run Doom, CsGo, Battlefield 1 with no concerns. Will highly recommend.

The Hp Omen has worked amazing with the current released games. It was able to run Flight simulator 2020 on high graphics with no noticeable heat/lag issues. The only problem I have is how Hp decided to run the ram setup. You're not able to just install another Fury from a third party, You have to purchased it from Hp themselves with an excessive markup.

The next gen of pre built PC's

Within a couple weeks of buying this pc better versions, with better hardware was selling for the same price I paid. I paid 1200 got a 1660 with and 5600. The better ones have 3080s n 90s. Im in the process of contacting best buy about it. I'll update on what happens. I also got charged twice for it and it caused my bank account to be closed. Besides that I love this pc so much I was going to build mine but during the time it was the peak of the GPU shortage. This being built with non dependent parts is how it should be, that way I can upgrade it just like a home build. It's about time I hope this is the way all major pre built pc companies turn. It's not all perfect but the biggest step to what could be the next gen of pc company consumer relationships. More freedom and choice for standard parts is awesome, enough of this intergraded closed bs. The case could use some work as far as ventilation mine didn't have io so you'll want to remove the io bracket and add a few fans, or add an io. 120ml isn't great either so even if you have an io you may want a better one. As far a looks and functionality tho it's perfect beautiful and sleek with single touch press release to open. I really love this line of hp's I think they really get the times with this one.

Its a decent little pc for vr and gaming and really in general especially when your starting out with computers/gaming. But for more things like adobe software's or work that requires better computer resources you might need to upgrade. Overall its a really good computer for people who just want a simple gaming PC.

I bought this computer after another company was no help at all with tech support on their product. This computer has been great out of the box. I can play the games i wanted and still use it for general use as well. My only complaint is the 8gb of ram, but i can just upgrade to more later. I highly recommend this computer to anyone looking.

This desktop runs nicely. I thoroughly enjoy using this everyday since I gotten it, I've had no issues with it whatsoever. It has a clean look to it & is not to noisy even after spending a couple hours using it. My frame rate averages around 200+ on League of Legends (Highest settings), for those interested in it's gaming performance. I would definitely recommend for those looking for a budget friendly pc.

Great computer for what I need. Plays Rift & Archeage with no issue while streaming music. Hate all the 'free' but you pay after 30 days stuff it was loaded with and not happy that the Microsoft basic office suite was not included either. Very quiet and quick to load in

Had a HP Envy 700-414 for like 5-6 years and still runs great but when I looked into getting it a graphics card to do some PC gaming — the market is completely out of whack due to mining, & covid work stoppages etc. So I saw this prebuilt gaming PC on here and it’s specs are good enough to run every game on recommended settings right now -- you just need to grab extra RAM. I went with 16GB Corsair vengeance RBG for now (to go with the theme of the PC, purely aesthetic and unnecessary) for $100 extra. The side panel comes off super easy, I swapped the RAM before I even powered it on. Aside from gaming it does what any PC does - run Office, browsers, play videos etc. Gaming wise - Apex, Warzone & Valorant (so far) on high settings look & feel great, just be sure to get a monitor that has a higher refresh rate than 60-75hz, grabbed a Samsung 24” 144hz from BestBuy as well and it looks phenomenal. Total game changer. I will upgrade the GPU when the market comes back to reality but that is what HP advertises with this line, it is upgrade ready and seems fairly accessible and easy to do. But for now, and the market being what it is for the foreseeable future (Nvidia said chip and GPU shortage til 2022) it is highly worth the investment if you are looking to get into PC gaming.
