Honestly I’m not one to usually write reviews but I had to this time. I had an old HP Omen for 6 years and had absolutely no issues, just wanted to finally upgrade when I chose this one. I don’t know if I got unlucky or I just happened to get one with a manufacturing issue but the day I purchased it and brought it home the issues started. When the PC was off a mechanical chirping would happen every 2 seconds (which was not only annoying but I never had this happen with a PC before, especially not a brand new one) and any game I played would stutter horrendously. I’m not sure if this is due to whatever issue my PC had, or this processor isn’t powerful enough for the 40 series graphics. I suspect it’s a mix of both, but this processor is definitely not powerful enough for the graphics. Games I’d play included Overwatch, Baldurs Gate 3, COD Black Ops 4, Counter Strike 2 and Apex and it really struggled to run these even on low graphical settings. The games would stutter constantly and freeze for a second and then catch up only to stutter again a few seconds later. I had my fiancé try to play on it and he said it was unplayable. Additionally, programs would run slowly, it’d take 6 seconds to even open my task manager while a game was open. My 6 year old HP omen pc ran better and faster than this one. I’ve since returned this PC and switched to a Corsair Vengeance Gaming Desktop, and so far it has been amazing, incredibly fast and absolutely no issues.

It was great at first but now only 3 months have gone by and there’s constant disconnection between the power source and monitors. It’s already overheating and has been an absolute pain to get to work. The color is orange and not because I set it to that but because it doesn’t work.

Needed a new PC, old one crashed. Found this PC that met my requirements which were to have preinstalled above average expandable RAM and close to 1T Disk drive size with a very NVIDIA good graphics card preinstalled. All needs were met when I ordered this PC. After setup, this PC is so quite when running. its fast and I've had no issue with it. Graphic exceed my needs. I like the financing too 24 months interest free.

This was NOT the pc I had originally came in for. I had purchased one of the iBuyPower Y40s but it was just riddled with startup problems and clunky AmroryCrate software. Idk, maybe i got a bad box but This Omen 40L I exchanged it for was the exact opposite experience. I had been hesitant to try a Ryzan processor but low and behold it was smooth. The startup was seemless, the equivalent to the Armory software which is the Omen Gaming Hub is so much silkier. Everything simply worked. It just worked right at start up. The lighting hub is easy to use, downloading all my usual apps and gaming directories and adjusting all my settings was a cinch. I play a lot of Chivalry 2 and at absolute Max graphics settings I was getting 100 frames plus. The best part, was it was quiet. Whisper quiet, and it sits right next to me on my setup. However! If you're a first time desktop buyer you're gonna need your own mouse and keyboard. I wont take a star off but the peripherals are not gaming worthy. Also consider upgrading the RAM and the Storage but I was playing it stock just fine. Goodnight!

Very great overall prebuild along with great upgrade potential with the AM5 CPU chipset in this PC. Keep in mind that this prebuild only comes with a 600W power supply, So make sure to do your research not to exceed the 600W when upgrading your CPU & GPU in the future. Other than that the only other downside to this PC is it only comes with 16GB of ram and has a Value WD M.2 SSD preinstalled. I recommend to replace the Ram to atleast 32 GB and install a Samsung 990 pro instead of the preinstalled storage. With both of those upgrades I'm running at 165 frames at all times while gaming on this PC (with a 165Hz monitor). I highly recommend this PC due to its amazing upgrade potential and performance.

This OMEN 40L has been a beast since day one. I use it for both gaming and streaming, and the performance is consistently smooth. The Ryzen 7 7700 handles multitasking like a champ—even while running OBS, Discord, and Chrome alongside a game like Warzone or Apex. The RTX 4060 Ti has great efficiency and handles 1440p gaming with ease, even with higher settings.

I do not play games with the HP Omen. I use it for 4k video editing mostly. This box performs as I hoped it would. It is fast, quiet and more than adequate for my needs. I also like the fact that it is air-cooled and not liquid cooled. The highest core temperature has not been over 85 degrees and this is without increasing the cooling fan speeds. It is also a great looking PC. I am very happy that I purchased this unit.
