Please do not buy this computer. The picture is wrong on Best Buy's site, you will receive a blank black box with a windows on the side. This is not the reason for the low review. Before I purchased this machine I went online and looked at the upgrades I could do. There is a complete list of items that can be upgraded. However there is only 1 drive bay open, and only 1 extra SATA port. So you can only add 1 internal hard drive, no more. There is NO extra internal card slots, so adding a card to handle more options is out. The 16 GB ram is locked to HP branded HyperX Fury DDR4 ram. Adding even the EXACT Kingston replacement will slow the ram down. I spent an hour on the phone with Kingston, ensuring I purchased the correct HyperX ram. I've spent 2 weeks on the phone with HP trying to get the ram to run at full speed. Their locked down BIOS prevents you from changing any motherboard parts. And here is why this machine is going to be returned, HP knows this and refuses to sell the HP branded ram so I can get to the 32GB I need for AutoCAD. I have talked my way up the line and they really don't care that you might want to upgrade something. According to their highest level of support I am allowed to talk to, they have the parts, but they do not sell the parts. Their parts are for them, not for customers. So you can't even buy the correct upgrade. The last reason on my short list is the CPU heat sink and fan. The aluminum heat sink is only 3/4" thick, with a formed ROUND aluminum slug for contact with the CPU. This slug is not the correct size for the CPU so the CPU runs on the warm side. On top of this heat sink is an HP branded fan. After seeing this arrangement I ordered a Noctua heat sink with 2 fans and a correct sized CPU contact area. Well guess what. The HP mother board will only run the fans at half speed. Ensuring you get no better cooling than their garbage heat sink and fan. Again, you are locked out of making any changes to the fan speeds in the BIOS. HP does not allow access to the UEFI section so you could correct these over sites. I am sorry to say this, but I own 5 HP computers, 3 of them are OMEN. This is the last HP computer I will ever buy, and it's going back. All because someone with no actual computer knowledge is making decisions at HP now. Their business model has changed from lets get people to use our product. We'll let them upgrade it and let them make the changes they need to make their HP choice the best choice. To now it's NO CHANGES ALLOWED! And NO you can't buy parts from us. Don't bother with XTU, the bios is locked down so tight XTU can't do anything. Don't bother with their "Oh, you can make those changes in OMEN command center", no, you can't. With all the "upgrades" HP has made to this machine, why is it NO faster than a 4 year old OMEN that did allow upgrades. This machine should clean the floor with my old OMEN. It is so locked down, and under preforms so badly that I am actually moving back onto my old unit and returning this one. I think if you really try to use it you'll see what I am talking about. It looks really good on paper, so good I bought one. I'm sorry I did. So please look at something else. And if your set on HP make sure it has everything you will ever require from it already installed. Their own "upgrade" list on their site fails to mention that they will slow down any upgrade you install so you will get no benefit from it.

Decent gamer, terrible video card inputs

I have no complaints with the gaming performance of this Omen PC. It easily handles most games on medium to high settings yielding decent frame rates at 1080p resolution. The system never runs hot and remains stable even after hours of gaming. Storage is sufficient for installing several games. I have four large games installed on the secondary drive, including Flight Sim and still have plenty of room to spare for another couple games depending on size. The 16GB RAM is a single stick and there are four total slots for future RAM upgrades. There is a spare drive bay and cables at the front of the case for another disk if desired. Beyond that, there isn't any real internal expandability. The RGB lighting illuminates the interior of the case and front logo and is customizable through the Omen Command Center application. The Command Center app also provides useful monitoring info like internal GPU and CPU temps, allows system specific software upgrades and can control other Omen peripherals like Omen keyboards and mice. While I like the performance of the RTX-2060 in this PC, the physical design of the card is abysmal. It’s fine for a single monitor setup but it’s a real pain for multiple monitor setups. There is a single DisplayPort, a single HDMI port and a single DVI port. Yes, you heard right. There are only three ports and rather than including an extra DisplayPort or HDMI port, HP opted for an ancient DVI port. To make matters worse, I have two much older PCs with GTX 970 and 1060 cards and both have more modern port configs than this much newer RTX-2060 card. The 970 is over six-years-old and both it and the 1060 have three DisplayPort inputs and an HDMI port. The ports on this card are embarrassingly bad and limited. I needed to connect two monitors and a Wacom Cintiq tablet. I finally got everything connected but it was a nightmare and required a special HDMI to DVI cable to do so. I needed it to connect one of my monitors because none of my monitors have DVI ports. The 25L has a USB-C port which I initially tried connecting the Cintiq to, but discovered it doesn’t support video. The 25L is a nice gaming PC but is very limited in several areas.

Replaced a 10 yr old HP pavilion with this and it's like night and day. Arrived well packaged and early. Was super easy to set up and it's playing my World of Warcraft with ease. Very happy with the purchase.
