I purchased the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 with the OLED touchscreen from Best Buy about a month ago after my old laptop suddenly died. I needed something quickly, and Best Buy made the process easy — I had it in my hands within 24 hours, which I truly appreciated.
Overall, I really like this machine. It’s lightweight, sleek, and runs fast enough for my daily use. The OLED touchscreen is absolutely stunning — colors are vibrant, and the clarity is phenomenal. The touchscreen itself is responsive and feels great to use.
There are a couple of quirks, though. The touchpad takes some getting used to — it’s positioned differently than on my old Dell, and simple tasks like copy-and-paste feel a little awkward at first. Once you adjust, it’s fine, but it’s not as intuitive out of the box.
Even with that small learning curve, I’m very happy overall. If you want a laptop that looks and feels premium with one of the best displays in its class, this OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is a solid choice.

Got this when it was on sales as Open Box. The laptop is in perfect condition just like new, no scratches, no damage.
It is amazingly lightweight, the oled screen is beautiful and sharp, the built quality is top notch, it is an all aluminum body and very sturdy.
Love the OLED screen, it is vibrant and colorful. Once you go OLED, you can not go back to regular LCD.
The touchpad is haptic which is awesome. It is much better than mechanical ones.
Battery life is incredible with an Intel cpu, I can go the entire day on one full charge. I believe Intel Lunar Lake processor is the best choice cpu for laptop right now.
I returned the Lenovo Yoga 7x with a Snapdragon X because some of my apps and games just won't work.
HP included many bloatwares which I un-installed right after setup. I highly recommend this laptop.

I recently bought the Omnibook Ultra Flip, and I’ve been really impressed with how fast and smooth it runs. The screen looks great, and the 2-in-1 design has been super convenient for work and watching shows. Overall, it feels well-built and definitely worth the purchase.

This computer is just right. Has good processing speed, good screen, and is perfect for what I needed. The sales people that I spoke to along with the companies business person all gave great advice and not only was I able to get a computer that is what I needed but also saved money.

It has been exactly six months since my purchase, and I’m extremely happy with this laptop. It’s fast, the screen is bright and colorful, and most importantly, it doesn’t strain my eyes. It’s very portable, and I sometimes use the touchscreen just for fun. The design looks classy and elegant. The battery life is long enough and has never disappointed me when I needed it most. This has been one of my happiest purchases. The Best Buy team was also very helpful during the trade in process for my old laptop and did a great job recommending this one.

I recently purchased this laptop to replace an older aging unit that just wouldnt power up anymore. The laptop design is solid and well built , wish the speakers were not projecting out of the base plenty of room around the keyboard for projecting up. A couple of issues, the additional software installed better know as bloat ware is unnecessary to the point of wondering what else HP has embedded and took some time to remove that there is still traces spewed in the windows OS. The larger issue I found is the laptop is what I refer to as a “BOB” broke out of the box.. the Bluetooth adapter would not recognize or pair a Bluetooth Microsoft mouse. It would see all of the other devices in my home. I tried several Bluetooth mice thinking it was a generational issue with the adapter and backwards compatibility. I was very close to returning it to Best Buy and ask for my money back and try another brand. I eventually stumbled across an imbedded application of HPs that checks for hardware and drivers. Come to find out that this specific unit requires a modified version of the traditional Microsoft drivers in windows to function properly. At no time with the device managed open did it ever indicate that the correct / updated driver needed to be installed or there was an issue , triangles indicating the device had a problem . I would try to update via check for updates to find an updated version , non existed current driver loaded was correct. The other issue with the unit, sometimes the pointer on the screen will automatically adjust its size pending on what application I was using , it does it most frequently in native Microsoft applications. It’s quite frustrating to have to go back in constantly to readjust the pointer size to its smallest each time I log on and open up excel or a word document. I’ll give this a few more days and if I can’t figure it out , it’s going back ..

As a student, I need a laptop that won't die halfway through a lecture and doesn't weigh down my backpack. This OmniBook Ultra 14 hits the mark perfectly.
- Can go from 11 AM to my evening study session without needing to find a wall outlet if I charge in the morning.
- Fast, and portable "do-it-all" machine for college.

I bought this thinking it’s the latest model but it’s showing 2009 version. I’m suppose to have 16GB but on my laptop showing me it’s only 15Gb. It’s very misleading. That laptop works great but macafee pops up and takes over the screen until you finish pressing skip to the end which is crazy.

I am very impressed with this laptop. The 3K OLED touchscreen looks beautiful and colors are very sharp. It runs fast with multiple apps open and the 16GB memory handles everything smoothly. Storage is huge at 1TB. Keyboard is comfortable and Windows 11 works perfectly. Definitely recommend

Honestly, its a really nice laptop. I've been looking for something macbook-esque, but windows, and this one takes the cake. The tactic touchpad and keyboard are nice, and the battery is good too. It does not get hot at all, and only barely warm when running games. The fan also is very quiet, almost unnoticeable. The only thing I don't like is that it is very prone to fingerprints.

Dear Best Buy,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with two recent purchases from your store. Both items were labeled as "Excellent Condition," a description that does not accurately reflect the actual condition of the products.
Who is responsible in this particular store for classifying a product as poor, good or excellent condition?
First, I purchased a Sony speaker from your 1701 Crossing Dr, Wyomissing, PA 19610 store. (Black Friday day) After driving 75 miles from Stroudsburg, and another 75 miles back to home I was shocked to discover that the front of the speaker was bent and the top was scratched. I returned the damaged item to the nearest Best Buy location.
Second, I purchased today a top-of-the-line HP OmniBook laptop from your 1701 Crossing Dr, Wyomissing, PA 19610 store. Once again, I acted like a naive idiot, believing until the end that someone there was professional, and I didn't check the selected item because I didn't want to block people standing in the queue.
Upon inspection at home I found that the laptop was missing its charger, is bent, dented, dirty, and covered in mustard stains- again .This is unacceptable, especially for an item labeled as "Excellent Condition."
I am deeply concerned about the quality control processes at Best Buy, particularly regarding "Excellent Condition" items. It seems that the labeling is inaccurate and misleading.
I am prepared to purchase additional "Excellent Condition" items, open them, document their condition with photos, and return them immediately to expose the lies, dirt, sloppiness, and fraud that is occurring at your store.
I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter. Very poor condition label and a charger instead of dried mustard!! Someone returned a super awesome laptop because he/she dropped it ! but geek squad didn't notice? And mark as excellent??!

The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip is a wonderful laptop, responsive and elegant with a stunning OLED screen. It is a pleasure to use, and I find myself liking it even more as I continue to use it.
Just about everyone has their own opinions regarding Microsoft, Windows 11 and AI in general, and it seems appropriate to confine this review to the HP laptop itself.
After completing initial setup, I ran the PassMark performance tests. Processor, memory and I/O performance were very good, scoring in the 72nd, 78th and 84th percentile respectively. Overall system performance was in the 66th percentile, pulled down a bit by the laptop's Intel Arc graphics which produced 2D and 3D graphics scores in the 51st and 37th percentile. I also ran the GFXBench performance tests, and found that reported graphics scores were often very close to a GTX 960M or GTX 1060.
Wireless support includes WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The laptop easily hits my internet service limit of 500 Mbps up/down over WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 connections when near the router, and drops to about 450 Mbps when 30 feet from a WiFi range extender with minor obstructions.
The mechanical design is sleek, thin and light yet sturdy. The laptop feels solidly built, there is nothing flimsy or fragile about it, and I like the keyboard and trackpad on this laptop. The keys are well sized, nicely laid out and easy to read, and backlit with bright, dim and off settings. The trackpad is large and easy to use, with haptic feedback making it easy to control drag/drop and scroll operations. There is no ambiguity about trackpad physical boundaries as with some laptops.
Physical port options consist of two Thunderbolt 4 ports with power delivery and 40 Gbps USB-C signaling, a USB-C port with power delivery and 10 Gbps signaling, and the ubiquitous HP headphone/microphone combo audio jack. Connections to older USB-A form factor connectors and to wired Ethernet, DisplayPort, HDMI and 3.5mm audio can be made with specific USB-C adapters, or through a powered docking station that supports multiple interfaces and laptop charging.
Power consumption and battery life are impressive, especially considering overall system performance. The device barely gets warm in normal operation, and HP notes "all day battery life" with continuous 1080p FHD video playback at 200 nits brightness and WiFi on but not connected. The battery charges to 50% capacity in 45 minutes.
Of the many things I like about this laptop, my clear favorite is the display. The 2880 x 1800 14" OLED screen is amazing in every respect. This resolution in a 14" screen produces ridiculous clarity and sharpness, and the OLED technology results in superb color and contrast with a true black that makes the transition from screen to adjacent glass bezel impossible to see. The viewing angle issues I've grown accustomed to living with are non-existent. This is easily the best screen I've ever used.
The 9MP camera produces a sharp, clear image and comes with a mechanical privacy shutter. Facial recognition is great, it's very convenient to sit down in front of the laptop and have it unlock automatically. Internal speaker audio quality is surprisingly good, there is plenty of volume with clear and accurate mid-range and high frequencies. Low frequencies are adequate, but like all thin mobile devices and laptops, there just isn't enough physical volume to do a great job with low frequency reproduction.
It's hard to say how much use is being made of the internal NPU, I presume it is being used for certain supported operations like image processing and facial recognition, while Copilot and other AI LLM queries go to a cloud server. The NPU appears in the task manager but I've been unable to get it to register any activity. I've read about the same issue with other new NPU-enabled systems and it seems to be a software issue.
The laptop comes with typical partner software offers for things like cloud storage, security and gaming that you may or may not be interested in, and they are generally easy to uninstall, disable or just ignore.
One minor issue I've noticed is that USB-C adapters with a relatively large body don't play nicely with the two angled USB-C ports on the laptop rear corners, because the adapter body interferes with the corner of the cover when open. There is no interference with a typical USB-C cable connector.
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip is really a pleasure to use. The performance is great, applications are responsive and stable, the OLED screen is amazing and the keyboard feels solid and smooth. All of this contributes to the general impression of a very high quality laptop that was well designed and manufactured, and will provide a long and useful service life.
