nice computer but windows 8 takes a lot of getting used to, would like a button to go back and forth from touch screen so you don't click when just pointing.

With 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive with a decent processor and running Windows 8, this computer can do everything your desktop can except perhaps high end games. The touch screen works well for navigation without the touch pad or a mouse.

A little bit bigger and heavier than my 11.6 Chromebook, but has a touchscreen and allows me to use some needed Windows programs. I wouldn't get this as my only computer, but it is small and lightweight for travel while still doing everything I need to do on the go.

nice small and lightweight computer that flips into a tablet. Learning Windows 8 is tricky. Not sure I like it. Laptop is perfect for word processing (why I bought it) but not made for video editing etc.

Somewhat unhappy with it. Not used to windows 8. It compact and ease to carry. Although hard to navigate and find places. Does not come with microsoft. only a program to pay month. which doe snot make sense.

This was purchased for my son. He loves this machine. He can do research for school, watch videos, chat and more with it. It's super clear when connected to his television as well. Well worth the money.

I bought this to replace my full size laptop for when I travel. So far the only down side has been battery life. It only has about a four hour charge and discharges rapidly even when not in use.

We bought the HP Pavillion as a small laptop to have on a trip to China. We didn't want to have our main laptop, which has lots of private and financial information on it, with us, but we wanted access to pictures, games and the internet. We wanted to not stress over it getting stolen either. This unit was perfect for that purpose. We were not bringing our phones (which wouldn't have worked without great expense in China), so I had a standalone Samsung camera (also bought from Best Buy) and I backed up pictures to the laptop at night. Luckily, nothing got stolen and we have a handy convertible laptop/tablet, which will be convenient for future travel as well.

This is a great compact laptop/tablet that we have deployed for all of our service technicians to use on a daily basis. It has greatly improved performance and increased our productivity.

Great product for the price. Touch screen and apps give it a tablet-feel, yet a traditional desktop screen and the ability to use a mouse appeal to PC fans. I'm always a fan of HP products for their quality and durability - this product is no exception!

I bought this laptop to see if I liked Windows 8.1. Even tho it has a touch screen still needed a mouse. Found out I don't like Windows 8.1. I would recommend any laptop with Windows 7.

This is not a top of the line computer that has tons of power but, it is a good general purpose computer. It runs windows 8.1 and the touch screen interface is a nice convenience.

This laptop was very inexpensive but has lots of features -- windows 8, converts to a tablet, and my daughter loves it. I would definitely recommend it to those on a budget.

I am very happy to have invested my money on a good product, I think the price is really decent. The size is perfect, and the best of all that is 2 in 1(computer and tablet)

The motto goes, "You pay for what you get," and this rings true with this device. It does what it needs to do, no bells, no whistles. Solid laptop. Just wish the battery life were longer. My son would like to use it at school but it will not make it through a school day unless he has it charging somewhere. He likes the tablet features too.
