I purchased this device as an upgrade to a touchpad that had failing RAM. I am very pleased with the speed & performance. I use this device for analyzing data, managing projects, and other technical tasks. I utilize some specialized software & have no issues using it on this device.
I purchased this device based on a recommendation from a colleague & am very pleased with the purchase.

Fully capable laptop for first year college. Easy set up. Just a bit heavier than expected. Touch screen is operator sensitive but acceptable.

I can take it with me when travel for work, pay bills, use Microsoft office, and use it for social use like connect with family using built in camera. Touch screen is new to me for computer and I still use mouse pad a lot but I like having that capability. I don't get much time to use the computer like I used to, but it does all I need.

The laptop computer is great. It is not too big so my college aged daughter can easily take it with her when she travels.

When i want to use the ethernet port in Gigabyte connection. It failed to get proper speed 800mbps. I talked with vendors customer service. They said it has 1 band wifi and it’s speed is 10 mbps. Though its Nic card shows Dual band ac. They force me to purchased their service for extra 1 years in $150 dollar then they fix it. Then they unlock my ethernet port. Though i have 7 month free service. Best buy and Hp do your business but not earn money by cheating ppl. You ppl what you think? The laptop is good

A daily struggle

I'm genuinely surprised that a brand like HP can produce such an unreliable and frustrating machine. In the past 18 months, I've dealt with more faults on this laptop than every single other laptop I have owned combined (touchscreen fault which led to a replacement screen, erratic touchpad which refuses to operate normally, 10 specific keys on the keyboard intermittently not working after the laptop has been to sleep/switched off, laptop shutting down with zero battery level warnings).
When it does work, its ability to handle multitasking is laughable, and it's proven to be totally unsuitable for anyone whose job requires the use of more than 3 programs to be running at once.
Finally giving up and purchasing a new laptop, from a different brand, when Black Friday rolls around.

I'm in my first year of college, and I really like how lightweight this laptop is! I love that it turns into a tablet and is touchscreen. I also bought a bamboo ink stylus to go along with it, and it's really easy and fun to draw and take notes with. I like that it has a lot of storage and runs its' programs quickly and efficiently.
One thing I noticed though is that when I type on my keyboard, half of it (the right side) is like really hot on my palm and the other is cold/not hot. It feels weird tbh. But it's not a big deal. The fan got loud when I first set it up, but I don't ever hear it anymore. All in all, I just really love this laptop and I'm so glad I got it! 5/5! :)
