    I JUST WANT TO START WITH, I AM NOT ONE TO NORMALLY EVER LEAVE A BAD REVIEW. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I EVER HAVE IN ALL MY YEARS OF PURCHASING ITEMS ONLINE.... I BOUGHT THIS LAPTOP TO SURPRISE MY HUSBAND WITH TO BE ABLE TO HAVE ONE TO USE ON HIS JOB AND TO MAKE HIS JOB EASIER. I ORDERED LAPTOP 1-17-2019 IT GOT TO MY ADDRESS 1-28-2019, WENT TO GO PUT 2 DIFFERENT PICTURES ON SO HE HAD BACK GROUND PICTURE AND THE SCREEN STARTED TO GO BLACK AND TURN ON AND OFF ALL BY ITSELF JUST AFTER A HOUR OF ME BEING ON IT, I WENT TO THE BOX IT WAS SHIPPED TO ME IN WHERE THE PAPER WORK WAS..IT HAD A PAPER THAT SAID IF I HAD ANY TECHNICAL ISSUES WITH THE COMPUTER TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY CALLED "JOY" I BOUGHT IT FROM BEST BUY ONLINE TRUSTING THAT THEY ARE ONE OF THE BEST IN ELECTRONICS BUSINESS , BUT THEY SENT THIS PAPER IN THE BOX TO ME WITH IT. SO I DID WHAT THE PAPER SAID AND CALLED "JOY" THE SAME DAY 1-28-2019. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE CHARGER, SO THEY WERE SENDING ME A NEW CHARGER. I GOT THE CHARGER 2/7/2019 FORM THEM. AFTER GETTING THE CHARGER I GAVE IT TO MY HUSBAND, EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE. OVER THAT WEEKEND MY HUSBAND REALIZED THAT IT WASN'T CHARGING. I CALLED "JOY" BACK (2-11/2019) THEY WANTED ME TO MAIL THE COMPUTER BACK. I MAILED IT 2-13/2019. I JUST GOT COMPUTER BACK 3/6/2019 AND WAS CHECKING ALL THE SPECS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS WORKING AND WAS SAME THE COMPUTER BEFORE I GAVE IT BACK TO MY HUSBAND.. IT WAS THEN I REALIZED THAT "JOY" SENT US A COMPUTER WITH A NORMALL HDD.. NOT THE SSD THAT WE HAD PURCHASED, NOW THEY WANTED TO SEND ME THE SSD FOR ME TO UNSCREW AND PUT IN MYSELF. I ASKED IF I COULD GET A REFUND BECAUSE I WAS TIRED OF DEALING WITH THEM. THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO GET A HOLD OF BEST BUY.. SO I CALLED BEST BUY CUSTOMER SERVICE, FIRST GUY WAS VERY RUDE AND WASN'T ABLE TO HELP ME AT ALL OR EVEN TRY. I CALLED BACK A SECOND TIME HOPING TO GET SOMEONE TO HELP, I GOT A NICER GENTLEMEN WHO TRANSFERRED ME TO SOMEONE HE THOUGHT COULD HELP ME. I GOT TRANSFERRED TO A LADY, WHO WAS VERY NICE AND TRIED.. BUT TOLD ME SHE HAD KNOW IDEA WHO THE "JOY" COMPANY PLACE WAS AND WASN'T ABLE TO HELP ME.... I FELT LIKE MY ONLY CHOICE WAS TO CALL JOY BACK TO GET THE SSD SINCE KNOW ONE AT BEST BUY EVEN KNOWS WHO THEY ARE... I CALLED TO GET DRIVE TODAY 3/7/2019. IM NOT POSITIVE WHO THIS JOY SYSTEMS IS BUT BEST BUY USES THEM AND THEY ARE DOING A HORRIBLE JOB AND NOT GIVING BEST BUY A VERY GOOD REPUTATION. LIKE I SAID I NORMALLY DON'T WRITE BAD REVIEWS I WAS JUST HOPING SOMEONE FROM BEST BUY COULD FIGURE THIS OUT BEFORE THEY HAVE ANOTHER UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.

    elitebook g3 refurb hdd failure one week.

    i also bought a refurb elitebook g3 and within a week the computer would not boot - said hdd was not attached... it reboots after a cold start, if it goes to sleep it sometimes does not come back. took it to best buy, they said the hdd cannot be repaired, simply return it. called JOY, said i was customer 13 , hold time was 68 minutes... don't but these!! JOY must be a third party, poor refurb quality.
