Something important, if you are buying this computer, but a display port to hdmi adapter first. You'll need it. Also its just, kinda loud at times and the usb ports in the front are finicky for me. Though thats probably just because its refurbished. Other than that it functions very well. Handles my tablet and streaming software nicely and starts up very quickly.

This is a solid box that I bought for the i7 processor, 16GB of installed memory and the drive bays. The cons are minor: * Probably the cheapest mouse and keyboard I've ever used. They were okay for doing set up but I didn't buy the PC for these. * No extra drive bay mounting screws for the 3.5" drive bays. I found some easily enough on Amazon. The 2.5" drive bay requires M3 screws which, I believe, were never included in a brand-new box. Again, available on Amazon. * No PCI slot (only PCIe). There is an optional daughterboard if you really need one. That said, I was VERY impressed with the refurbisher's (Joy Systems) customer service. I emailed a question about recovery procedures and they responded within 4 hours. A little later, I discovered the PC had a DVD-ROM drive instead of the advertised DVD/RW drive. An email to Joy Systems' customer service was responded to within 4 hours. They said the DVD-ROM was spec (Best Buy error in the product description) but offered to send me a DVD/RW. It arrived in 2 business days. I would use them again.

Disaster. The hard drive failed within two weeks, and recovering my data was expensive and time-consuming. The tech told me the drive was manufactured in 2014 (it was several years old when I bought it). Replaced the hard drive and the thing still died in November 2020 -- less than two years after the original purchase. The money I spent to fix it was about double what I saved by getting a refurb, and Best Buy would not stand behind the purchase or provide any support (unless I paid extra for it). Never buying a refurbished computer again.

I have purchased a number of refurbished HP computers and have always been thrilled with them. This one has been no different. It works great and the performance is fast and have not had any issues.

My old PC had windows 7 and wasn’t suitable for upgrading to windows 10. This worked out great
