Nice quality pictures and video especially water pics. Can't beat the price. Nice size for hand. Only wish it had a separate power button. Surprised that no view finder is not an issue. Great for beginners.

I bought this before going on a cruise I wanted something small that I could just snap picture and go through them later. This turned out to be the perfect camera for it! We did several water activities and was able to stick it in my life jacket and snap pictures as we went! It was awesome!

I bought this camera to vlog on our honeymoon. It is incredible! You will either have to download the app to your smartphone or connect it to the computer. The app is really simple to use. I was able to take it in the air during parasailing because of the wristlet and the fact that its waterproof. We were so happy the quality, and that we were able to film that event.

Similar to a Go camera but more flexible as I carry it in my pocket to use wherever I go. Use with and without the download app (free) that allows me to see what I am shooting. Connecting to my computer allows me to select photos to save, delete and use, especially for online sharing. I find using this camera better than trying to use the camera on my iPhone and the photo quality is great. I have posted many photos online after downloading them to my computer. It suits my needs and I am still exploring possibilities for other uses. The flat base allows me to take selfies from a distance using the smart phone app as I align the photo and put the camera on a stable surface or stand. I am really glad I made this purchase at a reasonable price. The video feature is short but good quality. I attached two sample photos I have taken at a store and one of my Halloween props.

    Amazing and versatile little camera

I really like this little very portable camera and carry it everywhere I go. In fact, I now find myself using it more often than any other camera I own or even my smart phone. The HTC Re app on Android is a bit slow to connect initially, but once you've connected the Re camera to your phone, you can use your phone as a viewfinder and remote control. There are some cons to this device, but that shouldn't stop you from considering purchasing it. They are: a so so battery life, especially when recording video, poor low light photos and the lack of optical image stabilization. I wish it could record 1080p at 60fps, but the video the Re captures is great regardless. The pros of the Re camera are numerous and outshine the cons outlined above. The positive aspects are numerous: extreme portability, awesome fisheye lens photos (I only take pictures with the fish eye lens turned on), waterproof, slow motion and time lapse videos.

    Great Little Camera

This little camera is fantastic. It's an action camera that is ready for you whenever you pick it up. That's right, it's ready to go without an on/off switch to press. It has a sensor inside the periscope shaped body that knows when you are holding it and turns on automatically into a standby mode waiting for your commands. Press the button on the back in just the right spot for your thumb and it springs to life. A quick press will take a photo and a longer press will activate the video. There isn't a viewfinder so you have to wait until you check either through the phone app or downloaded to your computer how the pictures and videos turned out. This isn't so much of an issue because with the wide angle lens, whatever you're trying to capture will most likely end up in the shot. The beauty of this is that you don't spend your time focused on the camera and can pay attention to what's going on around you in the real world. When you DO check out what you've captured, you might be pleasantly surprised. This thing takes some really nice video. Very high detail and on a laptop it looks like I'm back wherever it was I took the shot. Same with photos. Really nice. I took off a star because the battery doesn't last very long before needing a recharge and sometimes, getting it to connect with the phone app which it does through your WIFI settings can be clunky and take a few tries. Maybe a software path in the future can smooth this out. It seems to be priced a little high but I'm sure it will settle into a range it's supposed to be in. I'll assume it's because this is a new type of camera and will have to find its market segment. I hope it stays around because it really does come in handy.

Got this last year around Black Friday for $100. Love it. Super handy, always at the ready and takes really good pictures and video. The sound pick up is always really clear as well. The real problem is because it's always "on", I press the bottom sometimes while it's in my pocket and it's taking video and gets real hot. The software isn't perfect but a lot better than when it first came out. I've used it for skiing while it was snowing heavily with no worries and dunked in streams without ever a problem. The angle of view is so wide you don't have to worry if you're aiming properly, and if the photo isn't perfect, the photo is large (16mp) you can always edit the photo later. Highly recommended.

I really enjoy using the HTC Re camera. I admit it does have some down sides, but for the simplicity, ease of taking a picture and portability it is hard not like. My kids love using it to simply point and shoot. It is easy to hold, not awkward at all. I think the picture quality is quite good.I haven't used the video feature much yet, no no issues there either. I have not tried in low lighting environments. I like the time lapse feature and found a rather interesting use for it, by taking animated videos. My next fun project with the kids. The down side to the HTC Re is the lack of a view finder and the need to change camera settings through your smart phone. I have an AT&T LG G2 and have no problems connecting the Re. I am fine with the lack of view finder, since its purpose is to quickly take a picture (spur of the moment). The live streaming to you tube is cool, I haven't tried it, but I can see a use for it for live bloggers and similar social media events to share with friends or family. I got this on sale for $100, and would definitely recommend a purchase at that price point. If you can benefit from all the features it provides, then spending $200 is worth it.

    Most underrated mobile camera accessory

I purchased this, as an open box item, for just under 100 dollars, based on a review from Phandroid.com (written by Chris Chavez). Chris was 100% accurate in his assessment of this accessory as an absolute must have, especially at a sale price. I am not a big camera expert and don't own a DSLR, but this device makes me enjoy taking pics. And, forget about the need for a selfie stick, cuz your arms are too short to get a lot of people in the pic. This thing, with the extra wide angle option, is such a great accessory, especially for people like myself, who are novice photographers. It doesn't have flash, so using at nightime isn't much of an option, but in any situation with good lighting...I highly recommend this. And, it is supposed to work with iOS and Android.

The HTC RE camera takes extremely wide angle photos or HD video. Viewing and most controls are through Bluetooth connection to your Android phone or iphone. 16 MP image sensor with image stabilization has good performance in low-light indoor settings, and even better in bright light outdoors. It can take up to a 64GB microsd card, charges with standard micro-usb charger, and is waterproof to 1 meter. Mounting accessories are available, it also has a standard threaded base for tripod mound. The video quality is much better than I expected. I'm very satisfied.

This is a very small and easy to use camera. It takes wide angle shots, records well picks up great audio. The downside is that you have to connect to the camera's wifi to use the app with an iPhone, so that's a bit frustrating since it doesn't just auto connect with bluetooth.

Easier to use than the GoPro and cheaper but not quite the quality. However, for the price, it can't be beat. Does great under water too and is just a dream interfacing with your phone. The wide angle photo and video was fantastic on my vacation and I don't even bother with my larger more expensive cameras.

I picked this camera up just after Thanksgiving for 50% off the regular price. I was very excited by all of the interesting features this camera has: connecting to my phone and downloading photos, using the phone as a view finder and remote shutter, activate by grip sensor, kinda waterproof, etc. The only thing it would have to do for me to love it would be to take great pictures. "Shoot and pray" misses the target a lot. Slow shutter means I moved too soon and the picture turned out blurry which I can't tell unless I look at my phone. Pictures look soft and fuzzy, have bad distortion at the edges, and flare with the lights in dark conditions. In ideal conditions, photos were pretty good. Video was excellent. I updated the firmware twice while I evaluated the camera, but I could not tell that the firmware updates made any difference with the problems I saw. So, even at the great price, I had to return this camera. Hopefully the next version will be better.

This is a good alternative to the GoPro. It takes crystal clear photos and video. It is small and has a funny shape but does the job. I bought the accessories to attach but haven't used them yet. The only thing I wish you could do was zoom. It has a wide angle which is great for vistas and group photos but I would still like this option.

I bought this camera in preparation of a few trips I have coming up this year. Oregon, Disneyland, etc. I haven’t been on those trips yet, but I have used it out at the coast. Takes excellent pictures at great quality. The slow mo video is fun too, especially if you have a dog. Battery doesn’t last super long, but I make sure when I am at a stopping point, I shut the camera off through the app on my phone to help save battery life. Camera is not meant for super up close pictures (example, the jellyfish at Monterey aquarium.) But it’s great for the outdoors, and the popular selfies. I love how fast it uploads pictures to my phone (LG G3) for me to share the pictures right away on social media and through text messages. Highly recommend it.

Ok so this will be a mixed review. My husband loves this thing. He uses it all the time and the picture quality is pretty good. We have not tested the waterproof ability. I do not like that you are guessing what is in your picture. There is not a view finder on this item. You can hook up with an app on your smartphone but I prefer to have the screen right in the camera. I think it feels cheap. It's all plastic. I am not impressed but my husband is.

I really like this small portable Digital Camera. I carry it everywhere with me! Its super easy to use. The only downfall is the battery life if you're recording a long video & the fact that you have to have wifi to use it ( I believe it doesn't work without wifi...not sure havent used it in a while).

Takes great pictures, has great features. Took snorkeling, adhered to restrictions stated in manual, and it quit working. In process of dealing with htc warranty to have repaired. Purchased on 12-10-14 and took to local Best Buy store on 3-11-15 after return from trip. Was informed that Best Buy had changed time of extended warranty for Elite customers and they would not help.
