i am elite member i bought this phone yesterday for xm gif. When turn on the phone have big black spot in the screen. $400 usd brand new phone wao is not acceptable . Best buy store in west Kendall Miami dint help me for exchange the phone same day. Customer service by Michael mobile manager was care less. Good bye best buy this is the last purchase from you. I know mate 9 is good device was bad unit .

I love this phone , it's unlocked and I think it's better than the note 8 and I had the note 8. It runs faster the better life is way better

This was a gift for my girlfriend, but at the time of purchase no problem taking pictures until she was on a weekend trip in Puerto Rico and most of her pictures and videos images were corrupted. Manufacturer said there's an update coming out 3 weeks, but it's too late. We had to return the phone, because she didn't want it anymore. Got an iPhone 6S Plus instead and she enjoys the phone a lot better. If they fix the picture saving issues it would be a good phone I would recommend this phone.

The only thing wrong with this phone is that you cannot be using Snapchat and another video app or else the phone freeze.

I love the HuaWei Mate 9. However, I'm having trouble managing some of the settings. For some reason, I am unable to turn off mobile data and only use the wifi capabilities.... Other than that, I'm pleased!

This is still the unlocked phone available that I've used and keep it as my back up go to phone.

I have been use this phone for more than one month now and I love it. It works great! This is my first non-Apple phone and I love it.

Phone was Xmas gift for son and half the price of the latest Samsung or Apple phone. Has pretty much the same features as those.

Overall the performance of this phone for the price point is excellent. It has several great features and is very easy to use.

This is an awesome awesome phone! I was pretty excited to buy this phone to upgrade from my Nexus 5X. I really wanted a larger screen phone with a big battery. I tried a bunch of phones for a week or two, the HTC 10, G5, Pixel XL, and the V20. The Mate 9 is really my favorite by far! I really never expected to like it this much. I'm an android nut. I spend a ton of time on reddits android page. With this being Huawei's first big Flagship in the USA I think they hit a home run! They really need to advertise this beast because thats really what is it. Its a beast! Screen: The screen is way better than I expected. It being a 1080p screen and LCD I half expected it to be not as sharp as other QHD screen phones I tried out but man I was wrong. The display is very sharp and really bright. The colors pop. I really like that you can control the color temperature to make it as warm or cool as you like. I really prefer a cooler display. Having the Pixel XL for 2 weeks I can say this Mate 9's screen is great compared to it. The Pixels screen might look a bit better its very close and you get the battery saving on the mate 9 since it displays it in a lower more efficient resolution. Having the 5.9 inch screen is just sweet. The Phone is the exact same or very very close as the iPhone 7 Plus. If you can hand an iPhone plus then you can handle this. Camera The dual cameras on the Mate 9 are really a treat. Its equiped with one 12MP color camera sensor and one 20MP black and white camera sensor that work in tandum to capture great lowlight photos and photos with great dynamic range. The black and white sensor 20mp sensor captures more detail and the highlights in pictures and they the colors are placed back on the photo from the 12mp sensor. All you need to know is they look great! Also having 2 sensors gives you 2x hybrid zoom similar to what the iphone 7 plus does. It also has a wide aperture camera setting that lets you blur out the back ground in pictures like you can with DSLRs. Its pretty similar to the iPhone 7 plus's portrait mode. Video can be captured in 4k 30fps and 1080p 60fps. The camera also has ois that works very good to smooth out videos. Overall this phone is such a beast and much more than I every expected. It charges crazy fast, you can literally watch the percents tick up 2% every minute. With the 4000mah battery this phone is very capable of lasting 2 days or more. The dual speakers sound great and are very loud. The fingerprint sensor is the fastests I have ever used. The OS is lightning quick with no lag. The phone also never gets hot or warm even when charging! In the end, if you want a large screen phone with a great camera, a fast phone, long battery life, and great phone for gaming, this phone is def for you. I decided to return my Pixel XL and keep this instead its so good!

Overall good phone. The shutter effect on the camera was my selling point. Super fast and uses the latest Android software.

The phone works as expected for most things. There are a few times when the camera doesn't activate though. It gets a little annoying.

my first huawei and its awesome great screen , great fit and finish but the battery is the best thing about this phone

Wanted a new large screen phone that was running the latest Android software. This phone knocks it out of the park!
