This product is awesome! So far I've use the usb port to watch some of my saved movies, the micro sd to move over some video files from my gopro, and the HDMI to mirror my screen to a TV. It's so easy to use...Once you plug it in, the ipad finds it and opens a folder making it easy to find your files. It's a slim profile that matches the width of the iPad. The HyperDrive Hub paired with a magic keyboard makes my iPad Pro almost like an actual laptop!

I purchased this for my 2021 IPad Pro 12.9 and it works great. I like that it comes with a usb c extension cable to it doesn’t have to be directly attached to the iPad. It also comes with a spacer/adapter to keep me from breaking the usb c in the iPad. The only two complaints I have is, I use a JLab microphone for my podcasts and it does not provide enough power to power up my microphone. The other complaint I have is, while it does have pass through charging so I can charge it while using the hub, it charges very slow and if you are doing power intensive work on the iPad, it will still drain. It drains a lot slower but for what it is it does the job I want.

I purchased this hyper drive to help me save all my work and creations, photos and ideas! I can also us it to connect my charging plug, and a regular plug in jack for my older headphones that are NOT wireless. It connects right into my iPad pros power supply, and doesn’t need pairing! I recommend getting one just to have so you can connect and use other devices...up to 6! I love this thing.

Each of the hub's ports works well. Hub does get quite hot while under use but so do all of these types of hubs. A couple of things to note when you first start using the hub: - Make sure the hub is plugged in correctly. It should be oriented with the black bracket facing you. - Seems to only work with the official power cable and adapter that came with the iPad Pro.

A very nice addition to the iPad Pro. Expands it’s usefulness to connect to other devices. Only drawback is it doesn’t fit tightly if you’re using an iPad ZAGG screen cover or the Magic Keyboard like I am. However, it comes with an extension cord (which should be longer) so you can plug it right in.

Having this hub takes your iPad to a new level. With all the hubs available it becomes a serious laptop replacement. Also the aluminum finish is nice as it matches well with the iPad. The only downsides I have seen is that it tends to really overheat. Other than that its great accessory to have.

Works great on the new iPad Mini 6. A small illustration would have helped determine which adapter was which, since black print on a black background is stupid. It does provide an audio jack which was omitted by Apple on this model.

This little device is a life changer for my IPAD pro 12.9 inch 1Tb. It does however get very hot after using the HDMI port connected to a TV which is concerning since it is plugged into a very expensive piece of equipment. All in all I am happy with the purchase.

Good USB Hub for Apple Macbook Pro.

Built exclusively for the Macbook pro series with to USB C ports on the side of the laptop. This plugs directly into both USB C ports on either side of the laptop. It has HDMI, SD, mini SD, Headphone, USB C and A ports. Is a good hub for users of Mac laptops. Apple's need to always be a bit cute is a hindrance when everything has to go through a hub because they only have USB C. This is one of three hubs I have been using. All three of them have problems with copying large files or many files (over 1000) between the laptop and a USB drive. All three lose connectivity and bug out. It's very upsetting, especially when doing backups. This is true with all three hubs from three different manufacturers. Otherwise, this is very handy.

Definitely very handy to have around. It's great for transferring files from SD cards to external hard drives and SSDs on the iPad. No issues with connectivity. The price seems a little too high, but I didn't mind due to it being specifically fitted to the iPad Pro. I have noticed that if you leave it plugged in with anything connected, it gets quite hot. I know someone who has had a similar dongle from the same brand fail because it overheated. It wasn't this exact model, but due to the heat I've felt radiate from it, I wouldn't doubt it's capable of failing. I think I would have to recommend going with another brand.

I needed a USB hub for my iPad and did some research and this was the one with the best reviews. So far this has been really amazing for getting footage off cameras and to be able to connect external drives to my iPad Pro.

Great device. Works well. Provides all of the missing ports one could want on an iPad Pro. I particularly use the HDMI port for viewing iPad content on HD TVs. I’ve used the USB port to charge my iPhone (no special iPhone interactions existed that I could find). Used audio port with non-Apple noise-cancelling headphones. Haven’t need the SD ports yet. Also used it with my mother’s MacBook Pro :-) Only major concern is it can get HOT while charging and using HDMI port. Think it got hot enuff to expand the USB port which is now a loose :-/

I felt this was another step in making my iPad Pro equal or close to equal to my laptop. I was able to connect this hub while using my Logitech keyboard case combination. I thought there might be an issue, but all I had to do was flip the hub over the other way and let the lip rest on the side of the screen. I can’t wait until the next iPad OS upgrade to come out which will expand the usefulness of this hub. As it is now, I’ve had no issues and every connection works perfectly.

This was my second one. I lost the first hyperdrive while I was traveling. It's great you can connect it for external HD, USB Drive, SD card, and more. It attached nicely even with the apple smart keyboard.
