All I ever had before were Turtle Beach gaming headsets. Always felt HyperX were premium and too expensive. Played with them in Gears of War 4 tournament and I have been missing a lot. These hyper x are very comfortable for long gaming. The earpiece fits over my ears and the pressure is minimal if any (i wear glasses). These units don't have active noise cancelling but I can't hear the family when I put these on. The sound is excellent and I can hear everyone on chat crystal clear. Got no complaints either. Tried using my sony xm3 and got complaints people could hear my ceiling fan. No complaints with these. The only thing I don't like is that the 3.5mm male plug is straight and not curved. I feel it sticks out to much and you can't hold controller close to yourself. This would be 5 star if Hyper-X would make the audio cable replaceable instead of fixed. This would do a lot for environmental sustainability. The mic can be removed. Love the black and silver color. In line volume control is a plus. Ear cups stayed cool and comfortable.

From previously owning the HyperX CloudX Revolver Gaming Headset these are are lighter, more comfortable and my favorite part is the mic cable being more flexible (now i can eat and also not sneeze into the mic) compared to my old headset. I Ordered these on a Saturday and received them on Wednesday (4 days) which was pretty quick in my opinion. I am huge on packaging and HyperX doesn't seem to put to much care into this matter. As shown in the pictures attached. The headset itself looks high quality from the metal frame to the soft ear cushions. I have about 20 hours with this headset and i get no irritations as far as headache from being to tight or to heavy. The sound is a lot more clear not only to me but to the players i chat with online compared to my last headset. The volume control wheel gives me a wide range of where i want to set it up at which I really enjoy. Overall I would recommend this headset to any gamer. The price is great. The quality is great. I have no complaints from quality besides the packaging.

Only giving this a 3 on account of a few things BUT do NOT let that deceive you. I would buy this headset again. Definitely get he protection plan Incase if something goes wrong you get your money back or a brand new headset in store no questions asked ! I would take hear over the astros or turtle beaches ANYDAY. point blank period. Turtle beaches are over priced. I feel the quality and design is cheap. Don’t get me wrong, the 700 stealth’s are nice but lacking volume. Pair it with a cord and audio adapter and it’s probably awesome. 600 stealth had noise breakage at high volume. The astros are just price breaking for what they are. The sound cloud 2 hyper x is lacking inline volume, mute, and being able to control chat volume. Do not get the regular hyper x specifically for Xbox one, they suck. Bass is not rumbley which I like but it’s not lacking either. My only advice is to pair this with the turtle beach audio ear force adapter plus to get super human hearing, overall control, louder volume with the presents and everything you need at your fingertips. I got these a few days before Black Friday for $69 and that’s a steal paired with the adapter. I tried many headsets. These were hands down the best. It comes with an awesome hard case box inside and carrying case. Can’t go wrong. Get these. Hope to see them come out with a headset similar to the turtle beach stealth 700s one day

Great Headset for a Good Price

I don't have the means to purchase high end gaming headsets, so when I do, its normally with a gift card from a holiday, and I usually have to do a lot of research on YouTube and for online reviews before finally making a purchase. This set overall received "great set for the price" positive reviews and those are true. I was drawn to the CloudX because it had the largest drivers and greatest range of frequency response, even more so than ones more than $100. The sound it delivers is clear and plenty loud. The bass isn't booming, but reasonable. The noise isolation works very well, not complete but enough that my wife has to be careful not to startle me. The quality of the build is excellent. The soft pieces are comfortable to wear, and the aluminum gives it a solid feel. My only real concern are the exterior exposed cables that run along the aluminum supports. I feel like I'm liable to catch those on something a pull a short in one of the speakers. The HyperX Gaming website offers replacement ear pads in velour for only $10 if you're looking for a more breathable option for the ear pads. I think I'm going to try them and may update my review when I do.

This set has a great weight to it so it stays on your head. The microphone is of nice quality. The volume adjustment and mute can be done right on it instead of using the audio settings on the game. These headphones are very comfortable and fit the ears perfectly to an almost noise cancelling setting. The microphone is removable which helps for transport and use with other tech outside of gaming. Good value for the money.

It's been nearly a year with these and they do well as a simple headset. Never really got the mic to be of much use on either the consoles, the work pc, or the personal pc/laptops, I will say. Not sure if this required the separate sound card offered by HyperX but wasn't really keen on investing in it to find out as it wasn't made clear anywhere that it was necessary. Fits nicely, doesn't cause so much discomfort (i wear glasses) that i can't wear them for long intervals. The volume/mute toggle is nice, but do wish the cord was a bit longer overall. Still, great sound - even use it on the turntable/stereo.

First off, this headset is universal. It even says so on the box; so, that is an automatic thumbs up from me. An adapter is not required when using it with an Xbox One controller, so that saved me about $20-$30 on my purchase. The sound quality is great. It fits comfortably on my head and ears. I love the removable mic option that it has as well. The only downside is I did have some buzzing issues for a while when I first set it up. It's easily fixable, though.

I'm not a fan of how you control the volume or mute yourself. I feel like i need to buy an attachment to make it easier to mute myself. Like when i have to sneeze or cough I have to struggle to find the dongle on the cord and don't make it half the time. Sound quality is really good though. Also, I wear glasses most of the time when I'm gaming and this headset doesnt feel like its squishing my glasses on the side from being too tight. They are very comfortable. Happy with my purchase but the design of the volume control could be better.

The headset is insanely comfortable and the detachable microphone is nice when I just want to watch Hulu or Netflix and not wake everyone up. The price is right for what you pay and it’s worth the 2 year warranty just in case. I’m accident prone, so it’s nice to know I can get another pair if need be. Cons: they drain my recharge packs quicker than other headsets I’ve had. Pros: sound quality is great, comfortable, durable, and can be turned fairly loud. I’m not overpowering in party chat, or echoing either which is a plus.

For a casual player I love these. Sound is very clear and precise. Best headset I've ever owned at this price. They are the most comfortable headset I've ever owned. You can wear these for hours and you almost forget you have something on your head. The only issue that I do have is the volume slider is very touchy and sometimes will cut out the audio if you bump it the wrong way but it's not a huge issue. Highly recommend!

If you wear glasses then finding a comfortable headset can be a challenge. Fortunately the ear pieces of this headset fit over my ears and thus less pressure on my ears and side of my head. Because I wear glasses this is a must. So I can wear these for hours and not feel any discomfort. The sound quality is also pretty good for the price. Everything sounds nice and clear. Having a detachable mic is a great option. Quality of the headset feels good. Especially with the metal on the head support. It would take some strength to break them unlike typical headsets which are mostly plastic. The braided cable that connects to the controller also is of good quality. Doesn't feel like it would tear or cut easily. All in all a very good headset. If I had to nit pick a gripe I'd say maybe the braided cable could have been a little longer. But other than that no complaints.

I love these headphones. I hada few turtle beach headsets. And the comfort was lacking to my big ears. These are extremely comfortable and the sound is excellent. Friends say my voice is clear. They are lightweight. And u just plug and u play. Do the xbox accessories update to make sure u got the latest software just to be sure u get the best experience.

This headset is beyond comfortable. I barely realize that it is on my head. I compare how it feels to a Bose headset. Although, this comfort comes with a few costs. The first cost is the fact that the ear cups are not very breathable. On longer sessions my ears and the area the cups start to sweat. The second cost is that there seems to be next to no mic monitoring. And yes, I do have the settings configured on my Xbox. The third and final cost, the volume controls are not as selective as most other headsets. I previously had a Lucidsound headset which allowed me to adjust chat and game volume independently directly on the headset. This set only has an inline control that adjusts total volume. Therefore, to adjust chat and game volumes independently, you have to open the Xbox menu. Not a huge deal but it is a minor inconvenience.

My son is a serious gamer and he has gone through several headsets for his play. He wanted to try these and so far he is very pleased. He likes the comfort, sound quality, and the fact that it is wired. He says it's much easier to not have to worry about batteries and recharging his gear. The cost was fair and thus the 4 stars.

I searched for the best quality headphones with an affordable price and these seem to fit the bill! My 2 grandsons age 8 and 11 are really happy with them. They work great and are comfortable. I did however purchase the additional coverage for $15.00 each and they can be replaced no questions asked for up to two years.

I have owned Plantronics Gaming Headset RIG 800HS and the Turtle Beach Stealth 400 headsets. Both are good headsets but this HyperX takes the cake. The headset feels sturdy and not cheap. I wear glasses so even when wearing these for gaming or work, they never hurt my head or ears. I love the way you can detach the mic from the headset and the volume and mute controls which allow me to control sound on my Xbox without entering the guide to make the changes. I would definitely recommend this headset to anybody looking for a great headset at a great price.
