It locks and unlocks the car and can remote start the car but you still need an original key fob to drive the car. When I tried to have it uninstalled and return it, the store in Wilmington, NC wanted to charge $800 but said they would would do it for $200 but i would have to drive 1.5 hours to a different store. This was after they had to bring somebody from the Raleigh area to finish the install on my second trip to the store after I waited 5.5 hours the first day before they told me the guy in the Wilmington store could not complete the install. I have never been disappointed by the customer service from Best Buy before. I believe it is an isolated event at the Wilmington store. I will not go back to that store for anything.
