converted this freezer to a keezer. Added a digital temp controller. Keeps my kegs at a perfect temp. Annual cost is approx $8. This unit is very quiet. It runs for about 3 min every 45 min

Running smoothly and quietly in my basement as we speak. Using it for extra space as we have a side by side fridge upstairs. Had to go down steps with it in the box but was able to do so by myself (average adult male, in the box it really only weighs about 75# or so). I let it sit for a full day to ensure the compressor was ready to start safely. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS! It is a common error that people don't realize or ignore which is really detrimental to how freezers and fridges work.
Took less than 24 hours to get to a consistent -15* F on the high setting. I backed it off to half way and it is still right around 0* F with the freezer 1/3 full. Minimal frost throughout so far over the first four months I've had it.
Basket can hold about six to seven bags of frozen vegetables (16 oz size). "Shelf" is really just a cut in, under which the compressor sits, but is just wide enough to fit the width of most frozen pizzas. Would like another basket for smaller items however but that's really minor.
FYI: The directions explicitly say not to use this in the garage as the compressor's operating temp is not going to do well in extreme temps and could cause premature failure. For the price/size combination, I couldn't find a better 7 cu ft freezer!

We needed a small freezer that would fit in our utility room. Though this unit has a small footprint, it still has in excess of 7 cubic feet. It fit our need perfectly. This freezer is quiet and once we got it filled, it needs to run only intermittently. Very pleased.

Purchased this online while returning home from an Alaskan fishing trip. Picked it up right before the store closed at 9:00 and, by midnight, the freezer had stopped cycling and was very cold. By the morning, everything was frozen solid. The freezer cooled very quickly and has functioned perfectly since. My wife viewed an online video about organizing your deep freezer and found some smaller recycling bins, with handles, that stack two deep and two wide and fit perfectly in the freezer. We use these bins to keep the different types of fish organized in the freezer and there's still room for the included wire basket on the right-hand side. Large enough to hold what you need it to, small enough not to be too obtrusive (ours lives in our garage). I think someone else has mentioned it, but it would be nice to have leveling feet to keep it from rocking on uneven surfaces. It's silent when it's not cycling and reasonably quiet when it is. Overall, quality is decent and it's not a bad looking product. Good value for the money.

My old chest freezer went up unexpectedly and I needed a replacement quick. I think this freezer is a Tad longer that my old one but it fit into the space that I needed it to. I turned it on and it was cold in no time. Has a lot of space inside to fit items that comeliness large boxes. Igloo is a great brand so it should last a while.

Bought this as a supplement for my freezer in home. The storage area is very good for the price. I plugged it in, gave it 24 hours to freeze up, then put food in. So far it has had no problem maintaining temps. I had originally looked into getting a frost free version but after reading reviews and talking to people the old school style chest freezers like these actually work better than frost free. You may have to scrape off ice every once in a while but that is not bad, no running circulation = less freezer burn, less running costs. Hoping it will last many more years. Picked it up on sale for $179, so we will see.

This deep freezer is the perfect size for my family of four. It holds plenty of meat, frozen dinners, popsicles, you name it. It's not too big or too small and was easy for my husband to pick up and move by himself. The temperature range is sufficient as well.

We needed a bit more freezer space and rather than get a larger "main freezer" we got this 7.1 cu ft as "additional" freezer space.
Ordering from Best Buy on-line could not have been simpler. I got email updates regarding my order and then the email that it was available for pick up. Very easy from start to finish. They helped me load it in my trailer. They also have delivery available if you cannot haul it yourself.
Now the freezer - very simple and clean interior. The door opens up to a vertical position making it very easy to access items inside. There is no light. It seems none of the smaller chest freezers have that. We have a light over our freezer area, so that is not a problem, but be aware that you will have to add a light over the area or use a flashlight if it's in a dark area.
It's very quiet when it is running. It's also very energy efficient. I compared the energy used by our old freezer to this one and it uses 1/2 the energy as compared to our other older one.
Having only had it for a month or so, I can't comment on longevity, but I am very pleased with the purchase.

Bought online, had them ship it to local best buy store to save almost $65.00 for shipping. Best buy crew was great! Pulled my wife's truck up to the front door and two gentlemen loaded it right into the bed of the truck for me. Got home and it was lite enough for my wife and I to unload it, carrying it downstairs to our basement. Pulled it out of the box plugged it right in and waited 24hours to load it. After 24 hours it stayed cold and hasn't failed yet. A couple of minor blemishes(looks like small scratches form factory packing it) , but no other complaints so far. Will update review if something changes to units performance.

This product is quiet and gets cold really fast! It's very big and holds a lot of food. I have 4 boys and keeping meat is important. I was able to put so much food in the freezer and it does not frost a lot.

We had a need for a freezer chest in our garage. After visiting several stores I relized there was not a huge selection out there and they are all fairly similar. I was a little weary of the Igloo brand as I didn't realize they made anything other than nonelectric coolers but it works great so far. And you can not beat the price. There is only one comment I have about it, there are two holes on rubber gasket of the lip of the lid. They are meant to be there but sometimes ice crystals form there. I don't beleive it is an actual issue or hindering the performance but I'd prefer it didn't do that.

The freezer is pretty light weight and easy to move around with just 1 person. It has tons of room and the movable basket is a nice touch. I've had this freezer for 3 months now and haven't had any issues. It runs very quite; you typically can't even tell that the compressor kicks on unless the room is silent. I would recommend this freezer to anyone who is looking for a very nice chest freezer without breaking the bank like you typically have to do on some of the larger brand name equivalents.

We purchased the freezer for our townhouse because our refrigerator freezer was short on space especially with the ice maker. It is big enough to fit larger items like briskets, racks of ribs, and bags of ice. It is very quite and has the energy saver feature. The only down side is that it's not frost free. But frost free makes your items get freezer burn faster, so I'm good with this one. Also, there's no inside light.

We bought this chest freezer to store mother's milk for our newborn. So far, so good. It's spacious and is quiet as we keep it in our spare guest bedroom. It has 7 different cooling settings and the only thing missing is a built-in thermometer to see what the temperature actually is. I highly recommend buying a freezer thermometer and clipping it to the grate inside the freezer to see how cold it really is. Of the 7 settings, we keep it on a 6 which is effectively 0 degrees C. Although settings less than 6 were essentially freezing too, I wanted to be absolutely sure.
