The device frequently forgets its configuration. It must be reset and reconfigured every few weeks. This wouldn’t be so bad except that it takes hours to configure successfully. Expect to have 30 to 40 failed configuration attempts every time. After a reset it is always available for setting up, but after it connects to the network it just disappears, all attempts to continue configuration just timeout or result in other errors.

Didn't work with Smartthings

The package and description say it works with Smartthings but I couldnt get it to show up in the Smartthings app. At first it tried it out of the box because i thought it was compatible with Smartthings. After that didint work i read closer and found out you have to set it up through the iHome app and then link that to Smartthings as a smart app. Finally I did all that and it still didnt show up but it work flawlessly through the iHome app. Just showed "Default Location" in Smartthings. Also, not sure if this was the plugs fault or not, but I lost connection with half of my Things while trying to connect it. All of my multi-purpose sensors and several smart bulbs. I had to restart my hub and then remove and add all those again to get back to normal. Over an hour of my time wasted and still no smart plug. I was really wanting it work because i like that it doesnt take up 2 sockets like all the others. Lesson learned.
