This is great! Very low-latency superb recording quality. Very compact and easy for traveling. The Amplitude software is a bit pricey but well worth it! The sound reproduction is incredible. It is also compatible with Garage Band and a few other software apps. I tried a couple (can't remeber what they were) but came back to the Amplitude app, definitely the best for the iRig.
I did indicate in the "what's not so great" about the connection to the device on the cable. The S-style multi pin connection scares me a bit. I just leave it plugged into the device. I have bent a few pins on keyboards with this style of connection. It does seat firmly and I see no need to disconnect it, so no big issue. I wouldn't knock a star off for it. This thing ROCKS!

Overall, I'm happy with the irig HD. The sound is good, and the signal is clean. It's a bit pricey for what you get. For $50 more I could've gotten the pro version with integrated xlr input and midi cables. Looking back I wish I had gone for that one. I bought amplitube for my ipad, but I prefer Jamup Pro much more. I would recommend skipping amplitube and just going for jamup pro. Irig works just fine with either app.

I was looking for something portable and cheap. The iRig was perfect no need to go in the garage and play. I can simply lounge in the living room and riff away. The 19.99 AmpliTube app was a little pricey because the recording part of it isn't included but still worth with all the different pedals and amps it's pretty awesome.

I bought this for my son at Christmas. It's quality is a little on the cheap side , but it does work really well. The sound quality is very clear and it's nice having the electric guitar modeling amps for recording through garage band. I would rate this a 5 star for doing what it's designed for.

Another guitarist told me how much he liked the HD Pro, so I gave it a try. It has a lot of advanced features that I'll probably never use, but I enjoy using it for practice and for taking it out along with a guitar without having to lug an amp.

The sounds that come from this (and amplitube or jam up pro) are simply unreal. I would gladly pay three times the price.

I really like the usability for beginners. All the options kind of confusing if not used to guitar set up.

It's great for practicing, but has latency when used with my Mac Mini. Latency is the same when using Garageband, Amplitube, and Logic. Can't seem to get rid of it.
There's no latency with used with ipad, though.
Still, good enough for practicing.
