The speakers I purchased were bigger than the speakers that came stock with the car. I knew this when I bought them.I wanted a bigger sound. These guys decided to underbelly me. .. And put in speakers that would fit without having to cut. The speakers aren't bad just not what I bought initially. I think the kids were trying to clear their calendar and trim some time off the day. Whatever .. To.get a car stereo installed @best buy is like pulling teeth. I will be going the locally owned stereo store route .. Next time. I'm still waiting on.my computer I ordered in July....horrible customer service....Angie told me she was processing a refund...Still no money in my account. My computer is sitting in some dark room at UPS. Is anyone reading these? Have a nice day.

I bought a car stereo replacement. The installation good, but I was sold a PAC - All-in-one Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Control Interface for $100, because they said I needed and I believed them. When I got home I looked the part up and saw that it is for the steering wheel remote control, navigation system, and amplifier. None of which my car has. The extras the stereo had was Bluetooth, USB, and 3.5 connection.

Upgrading your car audio is such an amazing choice! We appreciate you taking the time out of your day to tell us about your recent installation. I know that paying for additional parts wouldn’t be ideal! If you need assistance understanding the parts you purchased, or returning extra parts, we would encourage you to speak to your local Best Buy leadership team. You can find information about your local store at www.bestbuy.com/storelocator.

    Radio installation dashboard damage

When installing a car radio, our dash was cracked extensively. It is cracked on left, top, and right sides, with missing chunks. There are screwdriver cut marks on the right side cutting into the “leather” part of the dash. There was an obvious attempt to glue this leaving a smudge of glue on the left side. We were not told of this when picking up our vehicle even though we were waiting in store during installation, and it is impossible to talk to a live person to report this. As instructed online, we sent an email to the store manager with no acknowledgement whatsoever to date. Am sending pics.

I was really hesitant to sink sixty bucks into having people do something that other car stereo reviewers said was "so easy", "did it myself!", etc. After you spend so much time reading car owner DIY forums and watching videos, factoring in the cost of installation tools, mental health, and so on... it's really a waste of your money to -not- just have someone do it for you. In particular, I was worried because I have a Volkswagen which means considerably more expensive parts to install the stereo, and I needed the job to be done FAST for an upcoming road trip. It was wonderful! I have no regrets. They started my installation right on time and the appointment took exactly one hour on the dot. The only unexpected cost was having them install the Bluetooth microphone, but that was it, and it was only unexpected because I didn't realize the stereo came with one. The installation kit fits nicely, every wire is connected correctly, my car didn't explode, etc. Before I left, the tech showed me some quick control panel functions, explained how to sync my phone, adjust the microphone, and all the little stuff to make sure I left with everything I'd need to know. Very happy. :)

    Great Job!

I bought a Kenwood KDC BT 955HD open box a few years ago for $50, at the Bridgewater, NJ Best Buy, plus I had to buy about $25 in missing parts online, but I never had it installed until April 2016. I'm down to 1 car and I had heard "stories" about Dodge Canbus with aftermarket head unit issues, but I finally bit the bullet and went to BB in Bridgewater, NJ, where they had done a great job 8 years ago on another install. Adil was great, calmed my remaining fears, got the install done early (I had a later appointment scheduled) and explained how everything worked; I thought that it would be 2X as good as the Dodge unit and I was wrong, it was 10X! I have an old Alpine MRV 353 5 way and a couple of subwoofers that I'll have BB install as my Father's Day present (to myself, LOL) next month for $119. in labor; a local shop wanted $225 in labor, but wouldn't commit to that as a final price. So glad that I went back to BB, thanks, Adil!

I brought in a Tahoe that had had it'd radio stolen,it's wiring badly damaged, and it's dashboard heavily damaged for a 'new' radio/CD player. Admittedly,I did bring you the vehicle with it's dash/cluster partially dismantled so your tech could more easily access the wiring, which had been cut short. Your tech did a very good job with this installation, and had it done in about 1.5 hrs, much faster than I expected in fact? Everything works just as it should, and fits perfect. I didn't even have to glue the dashboard back together as I thought I would! (Which is another reason I took it apart,as parts of it were badly broken and I wasn't sure could be put back together as built from the factory?)

    Fast, Fine Work

The last time I installed a car radio myself was in 1987, when I replaced the boring, monaural AM radio in my 1981 Dodge Aries with an Audiovox AM/FM/Cassette Stereo with an 8-band graphic equalizer and power booster. That job wasn't all that complicated; the hardest parts, as I recall, were installing the speakers in the doors and rear shelf. That car wasn't pre-wired for stereo, so I had to run all the cables myself and make openings for the speakers, all without power tools! That was three cars, four radios and 29 years ago. Cars and radios have become much more complicated since then, and besides that, I just don't have time to undertake such projects, so I decided to let the professionals at Best Buy, where I bought my radio, install this one for me. I'm not at all sorry that I did. Although most cars nowadays come with stereo speakers and wiring, installing an after-market radio in one usually involves dealing with multiple interfaces, an array of adapter panels for the dashboard, plus adapters for power, inputs, outputs and controls. I don't do that sort of work every day, so getting it right would have involved at least an afternoon of poring over product lists and instructions, watching some online videos to find out what all the gotchas are, and, based on similar past experiences, multiple trips to stores or online forays to buy the necessary pieces. I'm self-employed and paid by the hour, and time spent doing all that is billable time lost. Best Buy charges less than my hourly rate for car radio installations, so it made much more sense to let them do it. Best Buy's radio installers got the job done in less than two hours, and did a fine job. The new radio looks like it came with my minivan (well, almost - after all, it doesn't say "Toyota" on it, and OEM car radios generally don't have the neon-esque that's common on modern aftermarket car radios), and everything on it works and sounds exactly the way it's supposed to. After the installation was done, the Best Buy installer spent about 15 minutes showing me how to work my new radio. I am very pleased with the service.

I had my product installed by Cung in Pearland. He was awesome, professional, and fast. My appointment started on time and ended on time (actually early). The device itself is a great replacement for the awesome factory radio (which was top of the line 9 years ago). I replaced the radio so that I could play music on my iphone (as my older car radio did not have bluetooth). For the cost, you really can't beat it. It's not the fanciest thing out there, but I'm perfectly happy. I didn't want to spend a ton of money (given that I'm not in my car for long periods of time). Works great as a replacement radio for playing music to and from work. I would highly recommend it.

When I bought the unit, I bought it in one store and had it installed in another. The tag on the unit and the actual unit were different, so they installed the wrong unit. It wasn't Geek Squad's fault, I wouldn't even really blame the guy who sold it to me, but the tag should match the item, and it didn't. So, I got it installed and asked them where the CD player was, since I wanted the CD option. This is when we started to find out what happened, because what they put in matched what was on the sheet. Anyway, long story short, they swapped out the incorrect unit with the correct one later that week. In both cases, Geek Squad/Auto Installers did a great job, it works flawlessly with the JBL speakers and amp that was stock in the car, and it looks factory. Very happy with what they did, and the head unit install was only about $80, which I didn't think was a bad price to pay for what I got.

Everything went perfectly. There was nothing to dislike. Even with a few indecisive picks from me they went above and beyond to give me the best possible rates and the job was done without a problem. It actually ended up better than i could of imagined.

It makes sense to buy a radio that is at least 200 dollars to cash in on the free installation. The appointment was excellent and the technician answered all my questions and when completed, the radio worked flawlessly. I have used this service several times and they do not disappoint.

Trevor was AWESOME. I had been in the store earlier in the week and spoke with a sales person about a car stereo and speakers for my granddaughter’s birthday. After much discussion the salesman spoke with Trevor the installer and we all agreed to scheduling an appointment for the following Saturday at 10:00 for consultation/install. Upon, arrival on Saturday Trevor tells me the appointment was not made and we were not on the books for the day. I reminded him I was in earlier in the week and the salesman spoke to him about the possible install in the 2001 Dodge pick. Trevor agreed he remembered the discussion but the sales person DID NOT PUT THE APPOINTMENT IN THE COMPUTER. Trevor graciously worked us in that morning and was a true professional! Thank you Trevor!

    Fine entry-level car stereo deck

This unit was purchased to replace an old Kenwood deck, which was failing to eject CDs anymore. The old unit had served its purpose, but I never liked the complexity of the controls, especially the multiple steps required for setting the clock. The Pioneer unit is much more intuitive to use, and I love the component jack to accommodate an MP3 player, which is pretty universal now, but wasn't included on the old Kenwood. Of course, those who want to be heard two blocks away will have to pay more for a higher-powered unit, but it performs well enough for most of us. There was one unforeseen problem with the tiny speakers in the headrests of my Miata. Before arriving home after the installation, the receiver stopped playing, and displayed a fault notice on the screen. After turning the car off and back on, the notice went away temporarily, but still no sound. I took it back to Best Buy, and the installer found that the headrest speakers had no resistance to them, which the deck interpreted as a blown speaker or other fault, and had shut down to prevent damage. He clipped an unused wire from the connections, and it hasn't been a problem since. Apparently, it's something that would be likely to happen with any new unit on the market.

One of the best things I could’ve done in 2020 was trust Bryan with this service. I was nervous going in my appointment but he made me feel safe by explaining in detail everything he was going to do before and he explained everything he did once finished. I also witness him disinfect my vehicle and handle it entirely with care. I’m completely obsessed with how my radio installation turned out. Great guy, great service!!! I’ll definitely be back to get some more stuff done! Before and after pics below!
