Fast Set Up of iPhone

I could have set up the phone myself, but it would have taken me longer to do so. I'm glad Best Buy offers this service.

It took 4 or so associates until the manager found the one person who took care of EVERYTHING. His name is Brandon on Westnedge and he went way above and beyond to get my new phone set up.

Excellent phone support

This is only my second smart phone and they migrated everything from my old phone to the new one while I waited and also installed my screen protector for me.

Very Misleading - In-store mobile setup NOT free!

In the order details section, it clearly shows the 'In-store mobile setup and support' to be free -> $0.00 as it's part of the order and was added automatically when I made the iPhone purchase. However, the Best Buy employee said it'll be an additional charge of $40.00. I showed him the order details page on my end showing $0.00, but he was adamant it's not free.

In store swap of iPhones

Simple easy transition, probably the best experience I’ve had. Ordered online- picked up in store next day with scheduled appointment and was in and out of there in less than 45 minutes.

frustrating setup of new phone

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the 'pro' was busy during our appointment time. the person who helped us had numerous issues. thought it was humorous to pretend to throw the old phone across the store. i was on a time schedule and was not at all entertained. when the apple rep came and was able to assist to move thru the process we were able to complete the setup and finally resolve all the issues and leave with new phone in hand. not a quick process. over an hour for what should have been under 30 minutes. frustrating

Don't go to your carrier's store

iPhone purchase and set up

Never Pre-Order Items from Best Buy Again. 0 STARS

After receiving the new phones, I went over to get my mobile phone turned on at my 10:30AM appointment. A lady told us to sit at the Mobile Station and then left. An hour later, a Geek Squad guy comes over and tells us turning the phone on is above his pay rate. Another lady at the mobile station tells me that the appointment they made for me which I received an email for is nonexistent and that they don't help Verizon customers and that I am better off going to Verizon to get my phone switched on and to transfer date. When I said my appointment is to switch data, she said it will cost me an extra $100 and basically showed me out of the store. I was heated. Lastly, when I made this purchase, I was informed I had to trade in the phone into Best Buy to receive credit, but everyone at the store appeared to be confused and many were surprised that the new iPhone came out. The exact same lady that told me it would cost me $100 to transfer data told me that they do not trade phones in at Best Buy and that I need to go to Verizon. What was the point of ordering this phone from Best Buy if it cost me more of a headache than to actually go to a Verizon Store. I was livid. A waste of an hour when no one seemed to know anything.

They answered all my questions and showed me how to use it. They also transferred my contact information from my old phone.
