If the first movie didn't turn your head a few 360 twists, this chapter says "hold my beer". Not going to give up hints or spoilers, but this one goes even deeper in the after/other world than ever and if you don't pay attention, you'll miss some very important points that play major parts to the plot within the plot within the plot. This one adds to the intensity of the first and builds towards the 3rd episode.

This is an excellent movie this was the last in this group of insidious that I did not have so now I have the complete set of them and I love every one of them

I went into this film with fairly high expectations. They clearly were not high enough. This easily matches, if not surpasses the first instalment. I loved the first film, and this is easily the best horror sequel I have ever seen. The storyline was fantastic, the slightly ambiguous ending of the first film was brought to light nicely, and a deeper more complex meaning behind the haunting was revealed. The full extent of the main plot line was given in chunks, so that I was always kept guessing, right up until the end. The actors played their roles well, child acting included. The roles were believable, and the characters were portrayed nicely. The main thing that makes this film (and the first) so good is that it is actually scary. There is hardly any violence, no blood, but they are some of the most jumpy films that I have seen. The lower budget effects are used simply and to great effect. The low key nature of the scares make them all the more believable. Overall this is a fantastic horror film, and matching the excellent original, if you haven't seen Insidious, see it so that you can see this! If you have seen Insidious, just see this

Not as good as the first but still a worth follow up

Aside from the old slashers Freddy Jason Michael insidious is right up there with that

My daughter wanted this movie, she asks more for this part than any other.

Great follow up to the first insidious, builds upon the first film.

I kept hearing all of these great reviews about this movie so I figured why not, let's try it out. I was a little disappointed because I expected this movie would be extremely scary. All of my friends said they got scared watching it. I honestly wasn't scared at all. The plot of the movie is definitely different. The movie starts out and sort of becomes a little confusing but in the end everything is revealed and thankfully I wasn't left in the dark with the credits rolling, which was a big plus. I never saw Insidious 1 but I heard that was scarier and you Apparently have to watch that first to understand Part 2. So I'm def. going to get that.

If you loved the first Insidious then you will love the 2nd chapter. It delves deeper into the world of the "further" and you will see how it really connects with the first film. People take issue with some parts of the film, but like God, the paranormal world does not live in our linear perceived time. So hopefully that will clear up some confusion. If not...into the further we go. The special features are fun but the film itself is a wonderful and refreshing paranormal horror film. James Wan is a genius.

This movie has been one of my favorites since the first one. I had to watch it over and over again. Lots of questions were answered in Part 2. Lots....that beeing said, if you liked the first one then you will love this one as well. If part leaves you with questions and wanting more than you really need to check out 2. It will still leave you with the drama, suspense and mystery. And YES, you will jump out your seat a few times. It wouldn't be a great thriller if it didnt. Two thumbs up.

I thought this movie was very creepy and scary. You will need to see part one before watching part two. I thought the mask she wore was different and didnt really fit the movie. Maybe because I would never have guessed they would use a gas mask to communicate. Overall I would recommend this movie to someone who likes scary ghostly movies. My teenage daughter was so scared at some parts that she cried.it was a good ending that made you say wow.

The original Insidious made a lot of people mad. Not because it was a bad movie but because of the cliffhanger ending. So a sequel was greenlit. And it isn't bad at all. It explores more ideas that were never really touched on in the first film. The problem is that we see things that we have already seen.

I have to admit. I did not have high hopes for this movie, despite all of the great praise it received. I find it very hard to find recent Horror Films that are that good. However, right from the beginning, this movie was great. It was very interesting. The imagery was amazing. it had all the right spooks in all the right places. Buy it. Turn off the lights. Enjoy.

While Insidious Chapter 2 falls slightly shorter than the first film, I think it's because we as audience members didn't know what to expect with the first film, and in the second film we had a good idea where the movie might go. This movie still delivers on the scares and continues the story in an interesting way.

My opinion is that it was a really good film, better then the first. Because a lot of the gaps are filled in rather nicely. And on that same note both of the films play very well off of each other. If someone is looking for a really freaky movie, that is not all jump out scary, and has a great story I would highly recommend this one. As long as all viewers have seen part one FIRST.

This second chapter starts moments after the first one left off, feeling like a real continuation of the story, something I really love in sequels, also most of the original characters (from Chapter 1) returned even when the focus is no longer on the child. I did enjoyed Chapter 2 just as the first one.
