I just picked this up yesterday and was excited to get it. It was an online purchase, so I had to buy unseen. Got home and noticed it was really flimsy. Any laptop that gets placed on it, with any movement, needs both hands because it feels like it's going to snap in half. The second thing is, the glue has already separated, so the bottom is coming off. The separation starts halfway up the side and ends at the handle. I already used Goo Gone to get the leftover sticky tape off the board, so there would be no returning it. I could have dealt with the flimsy issue, but the glue separation....for $49.99 is NOT worth it. I included pictures.

It's a nice laptop desk and a great size. But it's already started falling apart, less than 1 month after purchase. The glue is separating the cushion from the board - see the picture. So it's going back. Also as and FYI, my iPhone wouldn't fit in the slot because of the iPhone cover makes it too thick. I use 2 laptops for various things. This multi media lap desk is the perfect size for both my 17 and 15 inch laptops. It leaves enough room on the right side to use a mouse, and has a built in mouse pad. Also very comfortable padding on the bottom. I love it.

This laptop desk is the right size for my laptop, but the quality is poor. I see glue around the edges. Also, my phone doesn't fit. I'd previously purchased another brand name, and the quality was much better but it was too small. I will be returning this. For $50, I'm afraid it may not last long.

Large enough for 17 inch laptop without being too big. Side mouse pad is excellent for those using a mouse instead of the track pad.

This has a lot of room and features nice desk, few draw backs when resting on legs slides down a little

Primarily use it for my laptop. But I can see it used for many things. Its light, seems sturdy, and large enough for a mouse and laptop

It's the prefect size. Easily portable. Has extra holding spaces for my phone and mini pad. Love it!

This desk is light weight and has a nice feel for fabric and coverings. The slot at the front holds an IPad 12.5 in the horizontal position which is one reason I purchased it.

The table is just the right size. Enough room for the laptop and mouse

My wife uses this to sit on the bed with her laptop. It feels solid, and has nice padding underneath to make it comfortable to use. It has plenty of room for a pen and a mouse on the side. It seems to have a nice quality feel. Recommend!

Purchased this primarily because it has a "bar/handrest" at the bottom the extends across the length of the desk. I wanted to use this in bed at an angle, and most of the desks I saw had only a partial bar so items would slide off toward my lap more easily. This solves that problem. The cloth materials cover the bar and the built in mouse pad are feel inexpensive, so we'll see how hold up with use, but it was the best option I found after looking in several stores. I found this in one of the store's displays that contained clearance and random items that was not near the laptop section, and preferred this one over another one the store had. Not sure why they would be placed in different areas of the store.

I purchased this Lapdesk so I didn’t have to sit at a desk or table to work on my laptop. It works great if you are lounging on the couch. It’s comfortable on your lap, sized well, it’s not too bulky or heavy and my laptop is balanced.

I am thinking about getting another one for a gift. That says a lot about how much I like this product. It is large and very comfortable to use. I would recommend this to anyone who uses their laptop in bed, a chair or on the sofa.

This is a nice 17inch tray. Bought for my older son and went back to buy a second one as my younger son kept using his brothers. Comfortable on your lap with the cushion pads. Large enough for a mouse and laptop!

Use it a lot, and it has great balance. It is of nice quality, but for 50 dollars I would probably be wanting a bit more features if I were to buy another one.

Got this to use with a 17" laptop. It's comfy on the lap even with a 7lb laptop on it. Love the separate area for a mouse and the slots to keep a cell phone or pen near by. Also has convenient slot at the top for a tablet but I probably won't use it for that often. Just wish it was a little bit bigger as my 17" laptop fit on there with no room left to spare. Hence the 4 star review instead of a 5.

I like to look at my laptop while lying in bed and needed something to accommodate my 17 inch laptop so it can get air circulation. I love that this laptop desk accommodates my laptop, wireless mouse, and my cellphone. I can now Face time my grandkids and be hands free to use the computer at the same time. It works perfectly for how I use it and I am glad I choose this one after looking at a few other selections as well.

This product is one of the few that I've come across for my new 17.3" laptop that lives up to its description and actually fits. There's even a space for my iPad. I really like the built-in mouse pad, pen/pencil holder, and wrist cushion. I appreciate the fact that Insignia isn't a brand name and yet they seemed to have thought of everything in terms of features and managed to manufacture a great product.
