Just received this 19" Insignia TV today from Best Buy and set it up on my kitchen table to use while in the kitchen and eating. It's the perfect size for a kitchen or bedroom TV. It was very easy to set up, and has a beautiful, sharp display after picture adjustments that I made (Initially the picture was too bright and colors too intense, but that's the way all TVs are shipped.) The sound is perfectly fine for personal use. You can make it sound better by increasing the bass all the way up and reducing the treble. I'm using it with a DirecTV wireless Genie. Great little TV at a great price!

Not as expected

I purchased the same model and size TV from BestBuy in August 2012 for my computer desk and have been extremely pleased with the picture, sound and functions of the TV, so I bought the same TV when it was on sale before Christmas for my wife's computer room. What a disappointment. It was obvious that BestBuy has changed manufacturers for it's store brand TV. The picture was washed out, the sound was terribly tinny, not at all like the good sound of my previous purchase, and worst of all, channels selected with the remote would not display except for single digit channels. Selecting 57 displayed 58, selecting 16 displayed 35, selecting 14 displayed 31, etc. BestBuy customer service rep tried to blame it on my cable service, but we have 5 other TVs on cable, including the same older model Insignia, all of which display channels properly. The TV's tuner was obviously faulty. I repackaged it and returned it to BestBuy where I had picked it up after ordering it online. It was beyond their 15 day return period, which was not mentioned on the receipt I received at purchase, so they refused to initiate a refund it even though it was a defective product. When I asked about the warranty, they wanted to send it back to the factory for repair. NO THANKS! They would also do an exchange for the same TV. NO THANKS! I don't want to waste time and end up with another piece of junk. Reluctantly, they told me that if the manager approved, I may be able to get a BestBuy gift card for my expenditure. That was baloney, because the clerk proceeded to print out a debit card without any manager being involved. What I was expecting to be a best buy turned out to be a worst buy. Lesson learned at not so BestBuy.

I needed a small TV that would do the job and this was it. The sound quality isn't all that great because it does not get that loud but that does not mean that this isn't still a great TV. I have it hooked up to my Bluray player and soon my Roku player. I also had it hooked up to my laptop. The picture quality is wonderful connected to the HDMI! This TV is a GREAT investment for say a small child's room or the kitchen or something like that. I highly recommend it and can't wait to get another Insignia TV.

This is a great small TV that I purchased to place in my kitchen (replacing a much older CRT-tv. I mounted on a small wall mount and the flat-screen, LCD display and color/clarity are great for this application. I can definitely recommend this and would for anyone.

I picked up one of these so I could watch tv while I'm on the computer in my home office. I have two Vizios, an LG, a Sharp, and a Sceptre. This probably has the best picture quality of all of them. If this TV is representative of the quality of this brand, I'll probably buy another Insignia next time one of my TVs goes down.

The size, definition, and sound are the right scale for the room size.
Only complaint so far is the information screen. Characters are small and It doesnt stay long enough for many entries to be read in time. You can't keep it on by holding the button. There is no menu setting to control the display time or font size.

I ordered this tv on a Tuesday and it was delived to my door on Thursday. Fast. I was leery of the tv due to its low cost. However, I hooked it up and I get all available channels, the picture is great. The sound is a bit tinny, to be expected since I couldn't afford a better set. I would buy this set again or recommend it to a friend.

While not the best TV on the market, this certainly is worth the lower price tag. Picture quality is good for the size, and audio is perfectly serviceable.

Kitchen-size HDTV

Great picture quality, low profile, I LOVE this HDTV! It is perfect in my kitchen and the 720p quality is excellent along with the sound. I can find no negatives to this little tv...even the remote is engineered user friendly. The Insignias are about an inch or so shorter than other HDTVs but this is a good thing in my kitchen.

I love the quality of this TV. The compact design was easy to fit in a small entertainment center for my apartment. The DVD quality was perfect for my small household and the TV fit the budget, too.

the picture quality is great, extremely clear picture. But, the sound quality is extremely awkward, sounds like the speakers are either pointed backwards or straight down. Echoes quite a bit off the tv stand. But for $100 you cant beat it!

I'm using an Asus Transformer book, which has a 10.1 inch screen and a micro HDMI port. With this TV I can work on on a larger screen, from typing to managing. This screen is also a great mean for entertainment with the HD resolution, an acceptable set of built-in speakers and 2 HDMI ports.

Bought this in Dec 2014 for use in the kitchen.
I worried that these kinds of TVs might have "tinny" sound, but as it turned out this one has nice rich sound and the picture is great too although it's not a full HD.
Only wish it would come in other colors not just black.
We love it!

Last night I spilled a lot of water on my kitchen TV and it died. So upset. It is so hard to find a small TV for a kitchen counter. Today I found this 19" small TV at Best Buy - and it is better than the one that died. Hope that continues but right now I am a happy camper.

Not Bad

Its not a bad tv...but its not a great tv either. The colors seems to "go" every once in a while. I purchased a certified "open box" and I was pretty confident that it would be perfect but other than the colors issues, the screw that holds the screen and the base is also "screwed" up... it does not hold the screen and base together and is all wobbly. I will be exchanging--hoping I just got a dud. PS sound works just fine.

I know that this is technically an HDTV, but I have had a lot of luck previously using HDTV's as an alternative to a monitor. I use dual TV's as a display only and not intended to see moving pictures or concerned about refresh rate. The pixels were obvious and the picture was terribly blurry at 3 feet away even for its small screen size. I ended up trading for 32" 1080P Samsung HDTV's and the picture is clear, with all text fonts legible.

Nice TV, works very well, sound needs to be tweaked, this was another online order to be picked up at the store, awful service at the store, waited for 45 minutes, meanwhile the TV was still on the back, TV was ordered the day before, two people at the counter with one taking phone calls and new orders, people in the line were not happy at all and we complained about it but nothing was done, poor store service, best buy willow grove, pa
