Positives
• Excellent Color Quality
The picture is the standout feature. Colors are rich, vibrant, and well-saturated without looking unnatural. Overall image clarity is impressive for a TV in this price range.
• Sound Is Better Than Expected
The built-in speakers are above average for a flat-panel TV. It’s not home-theater level, but it’s comfortably better than the thin, tinny sound many TVs produce. One thing to note: you will want to mount this on a pedestal-type mount rather than a wall mount. A wall mount can decrease sound quality because there is no surface for the sound waves to reflect off, since the speakers are located on the bottom of the TV and point downward.
Negatives
• webOS Interface Is Extremely Poor
The operating system is cluttered and frustrating to navigate. Menus feel disorganized, and simple tasks take too many steps. Instead of enhancing the TV experience, the software constantly gets in the way. LG has renamed standard features and components, like HDMI inputs, to things such as “Home Hub.” These changes were unnecessary and make items very hard to find.
• Overall System Performance Feels Awkward
The entire user experience feels poorly designed. Settings are buried, navigation is unintuitive, and everyday use becomes irritating fast. Changing HDMI inputs is incredibly slow, and there are extra built-in features from LG that you cannot remove, even if you will never use them. There is also a huge amount of bloatware on the main screen, making it feel cluttered and messy.
• Cheap, Low-Quality Remote
The included remote feels like one of the cheapest on the market. The button layout is awkward, the build quality feels flimsy, and it’s difficult to operate by touch. It acts as a pointer, where you have to move an on-screen cursor around to select items, which is nearly impossible without a lot of practice. If you turn this feature off, you are then forced to hear the system read every dialog box that appears. This is incredibly infuriating. It does not match the quality you’d expect from a major brand.
• Very Poor VESA Mount Placement
The VESA mounting holes are positioned very low on the back of the TV. This awkward placement makes mounting more difficult and can cause compatibility issues with some universal mounting setups and accessories.
• Terrible Power Port Location
The power input is placed in one of the worst possible spots on the rear of the TV. Once mounted, it can be partially covered by the mounting hardware, making it very difficult to access or manage the power cable.
Conclusion
Great color and decent sound are overshadowed by a frustrating operating system, poor remote design, and questionable hardware layout choices. Day-to-day usability suffers if you rely on the built-in interface and webOS. However, if you use your own streaming device or cable box as your primary interface, once everything is set up (which takes far too much time), the picture and sound quality may make this a satisfactory purchase.

Love the soundbar! I recently bought a 32” Insignia Fire TV for my garage but the speakers were way too weak. This quickly solved that problem by essentially doubling my volume output with much better sound quality as well. It easily paired with the TV via Bluetooth. I was skeptical about the wall mounts, but they worked well. They are flat U-shaped brackets that screw into the wall and then the soundbar hangs from it. I didn’t think it would be sturdy, but it seems fine. I do have to use the remote to turn it on every time as it goes into power conservation mode when not in use. Not that big of a deal as I keep that one right next to the one for the TV, but a different function from a higher-end brand I have elsewhere.
Overall, I’m very happy with the sound quality, output, and price point (on sale) for my intended usage.

This is an awesome soundbar for the price if you set it in your computer or gaming room, the bass packs a punch with crisp treble. But if you want even more bass, then get the soundbar with the subwoofer, but if extra bass is not your cup of tea, then this is the perfect soundbar for your household.

Was looking for a soundbar at a good value and tumbled upon this one. It was on sale and I purchased it. It was the same company brand as my television so it connected really well through HDMI and Bluetooth. It sounds pretty awesome and has a good range. If you’re in the market to buy a good reliable soundbar that won’t hurt the wallet I would recommend it.

This Insignia soundbar is a simple, compact option, measuring about 30 inches in length. It’s lightweight, well-built, and does not include a subwoofer. On the back, you’ll find a USB port, an optical input, and an HDMI port, and it also offers Bluetooth capability for wireless audio streaming. The HDMI port is ARC (Audio Return Channel) so be sure to connect it to the ARC HDMI port on the TV.
Setup was straightforward, I connected it to one of my bedroom TVs without any issues. I placed it on top of a dresser, but it can also be mounted on the wall, and the mounting brackets are included.
In terms of sound quality, it performs reasonably well. At this price point, expectations should be moderate, but it certainly delivers better audio than standard TV speakers. Music playback actually sounds noticeably better. Since it doesn’t display input banners on the screen, the speaker uses voice prompts when switching inputs.
Overall, this soundbar is an excellent budget-friendly choice for bedrooms. It’s affordable, well made, and a clear upgrade over built-in TV speakers. In the box includes the soundbar, remote, HDMI cable, power cord, mounting brackets, mounting diagram, and user manual.

Basic soundbar improves built-in TV sound

I have been wanting an audio boost for the TV in our bedroom for a while. We’ve tried shelf speakers, but they just aren’t practical for our wall-mounted TV setup in that room. So, we decided to add this practical soundbar. It was in our price range and was just a basic add-on, which was all I wanted.
So far, it has been a big upgrade over what the TV’s built-in speakers offer. It’s been great for dialogue, which I have trouble hearing without extra amplification. The setup was easy since our TV has an ARC input. The only downside I’ve really noticed with this soundbar is having to use yet another remote. It does have a bit of a bass depth limit, but it’s still a big improvement over the built-in speakers. Getting it setup is easy. We got a small shelf for it so it sites right below our TV and hiding the cables to it has been pretty simple, too.
If you are trying to achieve a home theater feel, this isn’t the soundbar for you. But if you want amplified sound beyond basic speakers, check this one out.

I paired this 32" Insignia 2.0 Channel Soundbar with my new Insignia TV, and together they’ve completely improved my viewing experience. The soundbar delivers clear dialogue, richer sound, and a noticeable boost over the built-in TV speakers. Movies, music, and regular TV all sound more immersive now.
Setup was quick and straightforward, and Bluetooth works well for streaming music from my phone without any hassle. The design is slim and looks clean under the TV. For the price, this soundbar is an excellent value and a perfect companion to my Insignia Fire TV. I’m very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone wanting a simple, effective sound upgrade.

The Insignia 32" 2.0 Channel Soundbar delivers impressive value for its price. The sound is clear and crisp, offering a noticeable upgrade from standard TV speakers. Dialog comes through clean, and Bluetooth pairing is quick and reliable. Setup is simple, and the compact design fits well under most TVs. While it doesn’t have deep bass like higher-end models, it performs exceptionally well for everyday streaming, movies, and music. A solid choice for anyone wanting affordable, great-quality sound without complications.

Great basic sound bar for a bedroom tv. Can connect to your tv in multiple ways to include Bluetooth. The only disappointment for me was the inability to program my Roku remote to operate the sound bar volume features even though the instructions stated they can.

I bought one for my in-laws. Reviews were good and for the price I figured if they don’t like it no big deal. Well, lemme tell you, going from the internal tv speakers to this thing for $35 is incredible…so much so that I bought another for my mom. These were hooked up to brand new tvs too. The jump in sound quality from tv speakers to this bar is truly unbelievable. It’s easy to set up. It’s easy to use. One of the better purchases I made over Christmas this year.

Got this little gem on sale, and couldnt be happier with the sound quality and ease of set up. Sounds amazing! Quality audio that rivals higher priced soundbars. I believe it even sounds better and performs better than my more expensive Vizio system! Sounds so good, bought a second one on sale as a gift.
