I had no problems installing this device and it works good

Tried this out to solve a USB issue with my motherboard's onboard USB compatibility with the HTC Vive. Unfortunately it did not solve the issue and bought a certain red card online that fixed the issue.

It works, it was the only one in the store. I got it for portable Bd burner to work faster, it worked on usb 2, I wanted more.

This works relatively well but does not support oculus rift which is what I bought it for. Decided not to keep it.

I purchased this item because there was no mention of the requirement for a 4 pin SATA power connection. I was planning to use it with a self powered USB 3.0 Back Up drive. My computer is a rather minimal HP s561091 without a break out for a 4 SATA power connection; hence no way to even use a Y connector.

I needed to add USB 3 ports. I did not install it but had a computer guy install it for me. It works great. USB 3 is much faster than USB 2.

i had a slot left on my system and this provided needed upgrades for the USB3 external drives

Found that this item did not upgrade USB performance to 3.0 levels with my motherboard

Works fine even without electrical source plugged into the card.

Doest work with Windows 7. Will install on Windows 10.

No issue, just works. Ethernet adapters are pretty easy to buy these days

I'm sorry to say I can't install this. My graphics card is taking up too much space and it blocks the slot where I'm suppose to install it. But that's okay I'm going to keep it anyway. I'm sure somewhere down the road I'll be able to use this.

I had issues with it as she seen 3.0 speeds. How are the seem to work OK

Extra USB 3.0 Ports , maybe for upgrade your PC or for the extra device

Beware that you need sata or molex cable to provide power to this unit. I thought that might be a concern so I asked the in store rep who was not sure himself, so we read the box that made no mention of this important fact. I returned the unit and bought one from amazon that included the required cable and was a better price. I'm usually willing to pay more for the added value of in store advice, but unless best buy staff can offer better product knowledge i wonder why anyone uses them for all but the most basic purchases.
