Works Great; Just What I Needed

I got this fridge because it's the perfect size to fit in my utility room just off the kitchen to store extras when our kitchen fridge is full. I put meats in the freezer and cold drinks in the fridge. It took a couple of days of adjusting the temperature dial to get the temperature setting just right. Once I found the right setting the fridge temperature has been consistently staying in the high 30s, just where I wanted it, and the meats have frozen solid and stayed that way.
The fridge has 2 glass shelves, with enough room to stand canned drinks on the upper shelf and lay cans down on the lower shelf. There's a generous sized crisper drawer below the shelves. The door storage has 3 small bins that can hold a couple of 5 oz. yogurt cups each, and compartments for a half gallon milk carton and a 1 lb. butter carton. The .9 cu ft freezer has no shelves but does have a door compartment.
The doors are reversible, mine came with the doors opening on the left, which is what I needed, so I didn't have to change them. The door fronts have a stainless-steel look and the rest of the fridge is a dark brown.
Overall, I'm very happy with this fridge. It's nice looking and working well. Just what I needed.

Bought mine back in Feb for my freightliner and its dead. wasn't overfilled, kept clean, with a few bottles of water, but it just died. no warning no nothing to indicate an issue. Thought it was my truck inverter but it wasn't. Do not buy from best buy, the warrenty and protection doesn't fix anything. Will not be buying from here again.

Summary: The Insignia - 3.1 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer is a good low-cost refrigerator when you don’t want a full-size unit. Easy on the eyes, and easy to install. And VERY quiet, so great for a small room.
Pro’s:
- Maintains a cool temperature.
- Compact, unobtrusive design (neutral stainless steel looks good).
- Easy to install (only 55 lbs, and thin dimensions).
- Reversible door hinge for easy installation.
- Adjustable glass shelves
- Interior light
- Quiet
- Can stick magnets on the door.
Con’s:
- It is what it is, maybe I am not picky enough… but nothing negative to say.
Matter of Taste:
- I’m not a fan of the interior bottom back hump design, but it makes the whole system compact.
- I might have wanted a little more refrigerator space at the cost of freezer space because I use this primarily for keeping drinks cool.
- Freezer actually freezes, but slowly. The more you open the door, the more warm air you let in. it is sensitive to the temperature setting.
- Seems like everything is connected these days, but there is no App for this. Personally, I am fine with that.
More Words: Not much to say, if you want a small refrigerator with a freezer, this one will do the job. One thing I appreciate over my previous ones is how quiet it is. AND I like how it looks, neutral so you forget it’s there. It has a brushed aluminum finish, but yes, you can put magnets on the door. Mine is in my office, but I can see this fitting in a lot of places, garage, dorm room, or downstairs bar.

Better than hotels

This review is on an Insignia - 3.1 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Top Freezer and ENERGY STAR Certification - Stainless Steel - NS-CF31TMSS26L. Product came in a box that is not completely sealed. The fridge sits on a large styrofoam block and the box goes around it, held together with some straps. So to open it all you have to do is cut the staps and pull the box up. Easy. The product is almost 50 pounds so I was able to pick it up and move it around for short distances but it is large so it is awkward to move. There are no wheels on the bottom which would be very handy Insignia. There are only rubber feet. This is literally a real mini-fridge. Not like the ones in hotels. The freezer is separate from the fridge. There is no separate control for the freezer though. There is only one control in the fridge, so to keep things frozen you have to set it on high. The fridge looks great with the logo in stainless steel and will look great in any location due to its size. It will plug into a standard outlet. The doors can swap position by removing some plastic pegs and a few screws. It can hold a lot of drinks. There are two shelves with a plastic box underneath to keep produce slightly cooler. It comes with a little ice making tray and ice scraper too. This is a perfect selection for dorms, garages, basements and bars.

Perfect for my basement

This does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it perfectly well. What drew me in to this model was the separate freezer section. My old mini fridge in my basement only had the small freezer area at the top of the fridge, and it would eventually freeze my round ice cubes for whisky, but it would take awhile and there was only enough room for 3 or 4 of my ice molds up there. Eventually it stopped working all together, and it wouldn’t freeze anything at all. I didn’t want that happening again so I decided to go with this model with the separate freezer and I’m so glad I did. The stainless look matched the rest of my basement perfectly, it’s quiet and energy efficient, and it has plenty of room for a few cans of whatever you want to put in there, and more freezer space than I was used to and now I’m very happy with the amount of space I have in my freezer for my ice molds. Instead of running out of my nice ice when I have guests over, I simply fill it up ahead of time and have plenty ice for whoever needs a drink.

It's the perfect size for my mom's room at the home she's in. Just enough room for little snacks and treats for her. We love the little freezer for ice cream treats, too.
