Posted .We’re glad to hear you generally enjoy your new television, even though the sound is lower than you’d like. The television has two 5W speakers, which should be adequate for most small rooms in most locations. The sending source, such as a cable box, sets a default output level and from there the television can adjust volume up or down by amplifying or suppressing that signal level, so to ensure the television has the proper incoming sound strength to work with and check the sound output level from the source before sending the signal to the television. –Jason, Insignia Products

I really like the picture clarity and color straight out of the box with no adjustments. This was a really good price at BB and perfect size for the bedroom. I have it connected to a free TV box with antenna. I think the speakers could be better. They are adequate but could be better designed for quality of sound. All-in-all, great price, great picture but if it's going to be your main TV get a sound bar or surround sound system.
