Screen is made of tissue paper

I purchased this TV and couple of months ago. Finally found the time to put on the wall bracket and hang it on the wall. Got everything installed and picked up the TV supporting it on the top and bottom, fingers around the top of the frame and the palm of my hand was on the screen, right next to the frame. The screen broke right next to the frame. I find it hard to believe the weight of this little TV against my palm would break the screen. The screen must be made of tissue paper or it was cracked under the frame. Anyone who has wall hung a TV will understand the above. Can not comment on anything else. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately flat screen panels are extremely sensitive to pressure, impact, or leverage. It is always preferred to have a 2nd person help with installation as that reduces the likelihood of accidental damage due to leverage or torque. - Jon, Insignia Support BBY-ExBrand_Insignia

    Open box missing parts

I ordered this tv as an open box certified excellent condition. Inside the box were missing remote and power supply. I called Best Buy who said they couldn't do anything and referred me to the manufacturer saying they would cover on their warranty. I called Insignia who said that missing parts on open box items are not covered and referred me to their spare parts store. Best Buy did say they would refund me if I brought it into the store but it wasn't worth the hassle. Bottom line, don't buy open box. It's clear they don't inspect the package before it goes out.

    Horrible picture quality!

Read the reviews before ordering and when I got it, I was shocked that anyone would say that the quality of this TV was good! Picture quality of a TV should be first & foremost should it not? I was playing with the settings trying to fix it and my husband walked in and said "So, hows the new TV.....Oh, wow that looks horrible!". I exchanged at Best Buy & spent $110 more to get good picture quality. Never underestimate that you get what you pay for!

This set is 720p, which if you are used to a 1080p image can be significantly different. Fortunately Best Buy does have a 14 day Return/Exchange policy in the event one of our products do not meet or exceed your expectations. Jon, Insignia Support BBY-ExBrand_Insignia
