I saw this Insignia unit on sale and bought it. As soon as I started using it I noticed the display quality was noticeably inferior to the old TCL. Particularly black text on white background - fuzzy. I then purchased a new TCL 32" monitor and did a side by side comparison with the Insignia. No question, the TCL display was much sharper and clearer. I returned the Insignia unit. I liked the new TCL so much I splurged and got second 32" TCL and finally used my NUCi7 Thunderbolt 3 port for a dual monitor setup. It's sweet!

I retuned and bought the Samsung 32" and was very happy. If a HD picture is not important and the lower price is, than this is a good value.

It's not a smart TV

Bought to play PS4 on for my kids and the picture quality is not what was advertised. Very disappointed but bough as open box online and didn’t use till recently.

However we used the quick set up and it basically set itself up! Great picture and sound. Also set up the VCR and DVD player to it--and it all works great. Love the nice user friendly remote too. It was bought to replace a TV in hubby's office. It was at a great price for a basic TV without the hassle of wifi. Highly recommend it. And it was delivered free the day after I order it.

I did not want a smart TV with all the unnecessary features and nonsense. I've purchased other Insignia electronics and have never been disappointed. Important to Note: If the picture image does not fill up the entire screen you will have to purchase the HDMI cable (rocketfish) approx $29.99 and attach the cable, this will allow the picture to scale to the correct full HD screen dimensions. Also remember to change your cable channel line-up to HD, especially for Verizon customers. Great purchase, highly recommend.
