As far as color and quality of picture, this set excels. Colors are crisp and vivid. It is our kitchen television which is probably its optimal use. I don't think it's large enough to use as your primary set in a room much larger than that or in a bedroom. For this set's price point the picture quality is a 5+. The sound is another matter entirely. It is average at best and very "tinny" and not very crisp. We added a low end sound bar (Insignia too) which improved sound quality to "acceptable but nothing else" when we could get it to work properly. What should have been a "plug and play" proposition turned into a "plug and pray" nightmare. In short, the set's picture is outstanding but the sound quality leaves much to be desired.

Got this for my great-grandmother because she insisted her old one wasn’t working properly (it was, she’s just hard of hearing and has cataracts). It works perfect, looks amazing and sounds amazing, and is everything that she needs in a tv. For people who have good sight (with/without glasses/contacts) and have good hearing (with/without hearing aids), I highly recommend this tv. For those who have trouble in those areas, I still recommend it, but put it in an enclosed room (bedroom or other room that has doors instead of archways) so the sound will bounce around and make it easier and clearer to hear :)

This TV has a great picture and a great sound and the remote is very easy to operate. I love it! I have never bough Insignia brand before so I hope it lasts for many years!

I use these for working on laptop. super lightweight - can pick up with one hand and move around. Would buy this product again for sure. Very clear and sharp.

Very good tv considering the rock bottom price. The picture quality is excellent. It has all the expected basic tv features, but thats it - don't expect to find any extras on a system priced so low.

Just using this as a monitor for a blu-ray player. Needs an upgraded HDMI cable from what comes with the TV, but with that done, t has an excellent picture.

Nice little tv, great picture, decent audio and easy to set up. All you need as far as apps. and it's 1080 so that was really nice for the price.

Tv is the best, super lightweight ,remote with favorite channels works like a champ volume is tremendous.too bad the have discontinued this model

This tv has great picture quality. I use it with a Chromecast with Google TV device and it works well. The TV only has 2 HDMI ports. So if you plan on using it with a soundbar that uses ARC, then that leaves you with only 1 available HDMI port. The other thing to note is when I press the home button on the Chromecast remote, the display shows "HDMI 1" in the corner and it takes a while for it to disappear, which is a bit annoying. It happens because of the CEC control that is telling the TV to switch to that input for the Chromecast, but it happens even if you are already on HDMI 1.

Great value for the great price. No frills, just a quality TV. It hooked up with my cable box in a snap. Note: there are only 2 HDMI ports.

I just love it it's a very nice beautiful picture on it and has everything that I was looking for. The remote is really easy to use too.

Just a simple tv no smart abilities but it has a great picture and easy to set up. I use it as on of the monitors for a security system. Overall I would buy again

Seems to be an overall good basic TV. It isn't a "smart" TV but is full HD. It seems to have good picture and sound. A good value for the price.

GREAT IF YOU NEED A SMALLL TV WITH 1080P. Nothing fancy but I just plug in my apple tv and google tv and it is easy.

An affordable television with a nice clear picture. It was easy to set-up and a perfect size for a medium-size room.

My Insignia was well packaged and so far works according to specs. It's in my bedroom and the sound quality, volume levels and picture have worked well for the space. I took my time to research TVs because I already own a Roku and don't have use for any type of smart television. Besides, every smart or preloaded TV we've purchased we've had to return due to it not working according to specs. I'm glad I made this purchase and I do recommend.
