My only problem with this Insignia tv is that when I turn it on I want to see the cable channel (Spectrum). I called Spectrum and they said they couldn't do it to call Insignia. I called Insignia and they told me they couldn't do it to call Spectrum!

Insignia NS-39DF310NA21 "HDTV" 720p Resolution

I went to purchase this newer & current Insignia NS-39DF310NA21 "HDTV" because I was so pleased with my previous purchase of the 2019 model NS-39DF510na19 (https://www.insigniaproducts.com/pdp/NS-39DF510NA19/6247247) for which it replaces. The store representative that assisted me immediately informs me that this current newer 39" Insignia was only 720p resolution. I thanked him for informing me & verifying this confirmed disappointing revelation. I informed him of my desire of a 39" FHDTV 1080p(2K) Fire television & my limitations of 39" (34.75" width) do to a wall & walkway/doorway space & that a 40” was just under 1 inch to long. I told him that I had purchased the previous model of this HDTV in 2019 & that it came as a 1080p(2K) FHDTV for the same price 2years ago. He too was shocked by this information of dumbed down electronics.
With HDTV's steadily coming down in price & with more features & better picture quality, I was unpleasantly socked to see Insignia/Best Buy offer a lesser quality HDTV with 720p resolution for the same money as they offered a FHDTV 1080p(2K) model 2year previously. And at this HDTV size of 39" I can tell the difference in picture quality from 720p to 1080p at the distance I view this television. It is marginal difference, but still it is a fact that it is a difference, & with this difference they want the consumer to pay the same price for a product of lesser quality.
For me this is not acceptable & not good busSINess practice. I'm a person who likes & expect to get a competitive product at a competitive price. With almost all HDTV's offered in this size range (39"-49") being 1080p(2K) FHDTV offerings or even UHDTV(4K) models, to me Insignia/Best Buy has purposely lessened their product in favor of profit margin. I'm not one to accept marginal for my money, especially when I was previously offered better for the same money. Don’t educate me then tell me that now I can only read from this section of the library only.
I felt Insignia/Best Buy had a nice niche with this 39” when it was FHD 1080p(2K). I felt I fit nicely in the common bedroom/office size of 32”-39”, not too big & not too small with competitive performance & features. But when they lessened this product for the same money, I fell they have missed the mark. But if you are a person who doesn’t mind spending the same for less, & the 720p is good enough for you or your children & love ones, then this “HDTV” 720p television will probably suffice. For me I will wait with fingers crossed & hoping that Insignia/Best Buy will offer this 39” Fire TV in 1080p(2K) FHD again for the 2022 model year…but a seriously doubt it. To me, in this new millennium it’s all about the Benjamin’s & the customer comes last. CREAM!!!
