Bought one for my bedroom thinking I didn't need anything spectacular. Was so pleasantly surprised with the picture quality and ease of set up I went and bought another one the next day for my living room. Better picture than my older Panasonic plasmas at $160!

I purchased this tv on sale during black Friday in 2015 and now it keeps cycling power on and off for no reason. I regret not going with a higher end brand.

Was shopping for a different brand when the salesperson recommended this TV. It is used in a guest room where the grandchildren often watch their shows also. I am impressed with the quality of the picture and the ease of setup. This is definitely a great TV for those just needing a simple TV and at a great price.

Exceeded all my expectations of a $250 TV. Very well built and screen is fantastic. I was expecting some cheap sounding speakers as well but I think they sound fantastic and can plenty loud while staying clear. Only has 2 HDMI ports but I only have my PS4 and Xbox One so its fine for me. I found the default Game settings to be almost perfect for games except the sharpness and backlight were a bit too high(Make sure overscan is off in the advanced settings as it will be zoomed in if its on) . Lowered those settings and now its perfect.

Read reviews that made me weary about this tv. Its no Samsung or Sony but for the this crazy family its GREAT. Its got all the bells and whistles such as a USB input to make it a smart TV. Good quality for the brand and price. No issues setting it up simple stand sturdy too... we have cats. My husband loves it for his XBOX it has a game mode which changes the pictures. Can't find it cheaper any place else (i checked ;) )

Old television died right before the Holidays, of course! This television was on sale for Black Friday (had our eye on it for a couple of weeks) and it turned out to be the Best Buy we could have made! For a no-frills TV, it has a great picture; 2 HDMI ports; and the slim design fits perfectly in our cabinet!! Its advertised 178 degree viewing angle is pretty accurate too. We have a couch that is at a right angle to the TV and it still gives us a good picture. Purchased the Insignia 32" TV a couple of years ago for the bedroom and that one still has a great picture. So, these televisions seem to last well also. Definitely recommend it!

The screws for the Stand didn't even fit the stand itself, currently balanced by books, not worth it at all.

I'm very impressed with this tv. The picture quality is excellent, the sound is very good, and the price is extremely reasonable. I bought this tv for my son's bedroom so he could use the smart tv features and do some gaming. It's not a 2160K, it's not a 120Hz refresh, and it just has modest speakers, but it's perfect for the application. If I could make the review 4.5 that would be more accurate, because I hate the remote. It's so user unfriendly that I didn't even realize the volume controls were on the side. The remote is just a strange thing to skimp on, but we're getting used to it. First world problems, right?

Bought this television on Thanksgiving. Good television for a great price. Needed to adjust the color abit but otherwise great picture. Perfect size for my bedroom.

The Insignia TV really delivers. I ordered this back in November as I had been wanting a TV for my bedroom for quite some time. I saw an aleart for deals and saw that they had this TV priced at $160. That was a no brainer. I had never had an insignia brand anything before so I was a bit skeptical but at this price, it wouldn't hurt. This TV more than delivers. Great picture quality and volume. I can't say enough about it. I defintely would by another if I was looking to buy another TV.

i really like this tv it is a good size and the digital channels look great other channels not so much but that is not tvs fault i need to hook up to cable box. the thing i do not like about it is the remote control yes it works fine it is just that the buttons are not in the perfect spots for me. when holding the remote and trying to change the volume or channels, the buttons are so low on the remote that you do not have a good hold of it and it just does not feel right in hand.

Took my insignia back to get this one and save me half the price I paid. 159.00 right now. You won't find a better deal out there. The picture quality is near vizio with this model. As always make sure you get a warranty on TVs.

First, the reason for the 5 star review is for the value. This is an excellent no frills TV for the $249 I paid for it. I love the tempered glass base. Having a single base (rather than legs) meant this TV would work on my old TV stand. The picture is good but like others have said, you'll want to use one of the picture color / brightness options or customize it for yourself. The speakers crank out a LOT of sound (not deafening but I'm a little hard of hearing and LOVE the volume!) The only thing I don't like is the remote. It works but will ONLY control the TV. You might want to buy a universal remote. Overall, this is a terrific TV if you don't want anything fancy. It's an amazing value.

I was in the market for a reasonably priced TV. A friend of mine has 3 Insigna TV's. No Issues and Really good picture & sound. After reading several reviews I made the purchase. Happy that I did.

We got this TV for $149.99 which is an INSANE price for a 40" TV anyway! But it is also a LED and the picture is just as amazing as the 50" Samsung LED I have in the living room. I would recommend this TV as a 2nd or even a main TV. Way to Insignia and Best Buy!

Next time I will purchase a Vizio. The picture quality is not that good.

I bought this TV for 179.99 and since there is so many brands and so many options price is one of the main factors for me when choosing the right tv. I never had any Insignia products so before purchasing i read quite a few reviews about this tv and most of them were positive. Once i received it i opened box and got it set it pretty fast, unlike others i didn't have any problems with feet and stand just takes a bit of patience. TV picture is amazing but what amazes me more is the sound. Compares to my other 40" tv from UPSTAR this tv sound is far more superior. I would deff purchase this tv again and recommend it to a friend.

I bought 2 of these TVs on Black Friday and I have not had any issues. I bought one for my small real estate office and the other for my uncle. Both have great picture and sound quality for the price. I personally love the Insignia brand and have 3 others in my house with varying sizes. A plus with these TVs is that you can use the same remote on all TVs no matter the size. This helps with having so many remotes laying around the house especially if you have small children who likes to hide them.

I was hoping to get the 50" Toshiba on black friday but they went super fast so I went with my backup which is this TV. After a few days watching blurays and playing some video games on it Im happy to say Ii absolutely love it! The quality is much better than I thought it would be and once I mounted it on my wall it seemed a lot bigger. Overall very happy with it. The speakers are pretty good too. I find myself not going past 2 or 3 once im in bed at night for bed. Def recommend this product :)

TV kept cutting off after we turned it back on. Not a good sign.
