I'd been meaning to upgrade my TV to something larger for a while now, and this television was exactly what I needed. It's big enough for me to see across the room, and the picture and sound quality are very impressive. The speakers can get pretty loud, too. The small bezel means that there isn't any wasted space, and it's easy to put together, too.

Was looking for a 40-inch TV for the bedroom and compared this 43-inch Insignia to other brands in the price and size range. For what it costs, this TV is a great performer for casual watching. Overall, the picture is above average in all respects and priced below most other offerings, making this a great value. My second purchase of this TV, as the first was moved to a gaming setup where it also performs well.

We had just moved from out of state and had spent a fortune doing so. We needed a new TV but couldn't afford a big expensive model at that point. This was a great choice! It has a really clear, beautiful picture and was a great price! It's very high quality for a store brand -don't think you have to buy one of the major brands and spend so much more to have a good quality product.

I bought this tv on a whim. It was a decent price for the features I wanted. I was skeptical of the image because of the price but it's great. I play games, watch TV and use it as a monitor for my computer and the quality is great for all of them. Only down side I see is it displays all the inputs rather than just the ones that have things connected.

We upgraded from a 30 inich 720 pixels. Did some research and looked at other models, but we couldn't pass up the price on this one.
Setup was a breeze, worked right out of the box. Picture is clear and bright, we love watching FIOS and streaming through our blue-ray player.
Very happy with this one.

We we looking for a TV that would fit in our built ins for our family room. We chose the insignia mostly because of price. The size was perfect for our specs. The picture quality was as good as the other brands in this size. We didn't need all of the extras for this room such as smart functions or ultra hd. We just needed a basic hd at a reasonable price.

We are pleased with this TV. The picture is very good. The only problem we have is the volume, which is true on most flat screens. The companies should develop a better speaker system on these TV's as there is no space for good speakers. Even with this minor inconvenience we would purchase this TV again.

I needed a new TV for my gaming console and while researching I kept coming back to this one. I read many tv reviews for other products, compared the specs, etc. I really was leaning toward this tv and read the most reviews for it, but was still somewhat skeptical about purchasing. I decided to purchase it anyway, and I've been using the tv since late November 2015. I have to say I've been more than pleasantly surprised. It's exactly what I was looking for, picture was fine for what I needed, and sound seems to be ok. I am by far not a tv "critic" or expert, but this has been more than adequate for running my PS3 and PS4 on. Would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence trying to decide what tv to go with for a bargain price.

Out of the box we had it all set up. Super easy. We decided to randomly select a movie to test it out. Started watching Twilight. Everthing was terrible. Thought about returning the tv that very day until we switch movies to The Departed. Like magic the Tv worked great! I'm thinking it's just Twilight that sucks not the Tv.

Brand response from InsigniaCustomerSupport

We’re glad you’re enjoying your television, but there seems to be some confusion on the inputs. The television has three HDMI inputs (one of which is ARC enabled), a combination composite/component input, and a coaxial input. This allows up to five devices to be directly connected simultaneously. The analog inputs on newer televisions do tend to be somewhat limited, as most current source devices utilize digital output such as HDMI. Thank you for your feedback. – Jason, Insignia Products

Don't be thrown by the 'house' brand. It's a great tv. If you want a 4k miracle machine, get one, but if you want a good, solid, and sharp TV for a decent sized room, this is your machine.
Large enough to be seen and light enough that mounting it to a wall is very easy. Setup was a snap and it looks fantastic.

Asked about the insignia brand before I purchased as I was not familiar with that name. Great price for the size of screen I received. Adjusted settings to my taste and love the picture. Would buy again without hesitation.

I haven't had an Insignia LED TV before, mostly stick to the name brand Japanese (Sony, Panasonic, etc.) but when they price them this low, I had to give it a shot. So I connected this to an OTA antenna and was very happy with the tuner picking up all the local HD channels flawlessly. It does lag a couple seconds when changing channels. At first was not happy with the picture, but I used the settings from one of the reviews here and got a beautiful sharp picture. However, it does suffer some when viewing off center. Sound is fine, don't want to crank it up too much and annoy the neighbors. And 43" is a great size on my covered porch for watching soccer or horse racing's triple crown outdoors. Can't wait for football.

I have Samsung, Hitachi and Sony tvs and the Insignia has as good a picture as any of those. This tv is for our cottage and is a great value. Will probably purchase more of the same.

For the price of this TV....as compared to others with the same specs....This TV is a NO BRAINER!!! Absolutely GORGEOUS picture when you set it up correctly (adaptations to your specific environment). Luckily, I know how to do that....if you have not done that before...it is WELL worth your time and money to have the Geek Squad do it. Sound, Clarity, Picture .....this TV is FANTASTIC and at a fraction of the cost of a Samsung or Sony. If you're on the fence about an Insignia 1080P TV.....get off of it. Do it....and do it now. You WON'T be sorry.

Purchased several of these for one of my client's to have in their gas stations and they work great. Very light weight, easy to mount, decent picture, and inexpensive.
